Your new role
As a Regional Medical Advisor, your main task will be to translate and implement Medical Affairs strategies in support of the Novo Nordisk Sweden cardiometabolic product portfolio. With your solid scientific skills together with knowledge of the cardiometabolic disease area and Swedish healthcare structure, you will build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals to advance the management of cardiometabolic diseases.
As part of your role, you will be collaborating with external KOLs within cardiology, endocrinology, obesity, nephrology and primary care and working cross-functionally with regional Sales and Market Access teams to develop scientific approaches and solutions.
Moreover, you will:
Contribute to the development and implementation of medical educational programs
Establish and execute scientific communication strategies and drive related communication plans
Provide medical education among Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) through scientific meetings and symposia
Partner with healthcare systems and medical associations to identify and develop solutions along clinical care pathways that help deliver optimal care and improve outcomes
Gather medical insights through advisory boards and other engagements to inform strategic decisions.
It is primarily a field-based position (entailing ca. 40-50% travel) for Region Mid, comprising eg. Uppsala, Gävle, and Örebro.
Your new department
Medical Affairs in Sweden is a dynamic and collaborative environment where we focus on driving medical strategies and building strong scientific relationships to advance the management of serious chronic diseases. Our team is dedicated to translating and implementing medical strategies to support Novo Nordisk's cardiometabolic portfolio. We work closely with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to ensure the dissemination of up-to-date medical knowledge and clinical trial data, as well as developing solutions along clinical care pathways that help deliver optimal care and improve outcomes As a Regional Medical Advisor, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Medical Affairs.
Your skills & qualifications
We are searching for highly collaborative and communicative candidates with excellent presentation and networking skills, who meet the following criteria:
Higher scientific qualification (MSc, PhD, MD desirable) and at least 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in medical affairs and the cardiovascular-renal-metabolic field
Deep knowledge of the cardiometabolic area and the Swedish Health Care System
Suitable experience in communicating science and leading medical discussions with various audiences
Fluent Swedish and English skills (both written and spoken)
Driving license
