Job Description

Your impact begins here

As Regional Medical Advisor, you will strengthen scientific engagement and medical knowledge across central Romania. You will build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, turn clinical evidence into clear scientific communication, and help local teams bring the latest medical insights to the people who need them. Your work will connect science, strategy and real-world practice — creating measurable progress for people living with serious chronic diseases.

What you'll bring

  • An advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy or a related field.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design, methodology and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of scientific communication strategies and publication planning.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data for different audiences.
  • Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop territory medical plans aligned with business and scientific priorities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver across multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Adaptability and confidence working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Experience driving scientific recruitment and retention activities for clinical research.
  • Experience with Real-World Evidence publication strategies.
  • Familiarity with multi-channel engagement approaches in a medical affairs context.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute the scientific communication strategy for your territory, ensuring effective dissemination of clinical trial findings and Real-World Evidence.
  • Identify, engage and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders in relevant therapeutic areas, gathering insights that inform scientific and commercial priorities.
  • Prepare and execute territory medical plans in cross-functional alignment, turning regional medical strategy into local action across your counties.
  • Define and implement the publication strategy, including Real-World Evidence publications, and present scientific data at meetings, symposia and conferences.
  • Develop and deliver account partnership plans for new channels — including obesity clinics, university hospitals, private clinics and pharmacies — in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide medical training and education to internal stakeholders across sales, marketing and other functions, and respond to medical enquiries from internal and external partners.
  • Review medical, educational, patient and promotional materials, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and Novo Nordisk policies.

Who you'll work with

You will join the Medical Affairs team in Romania, reporting to the Field Medical Manager. Your territory covers Bucharest region, where you will be the medical point of contact for healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and healthcare organisations.

Internally, you will work closely with colleagues across marketing, sales, medical, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, clinical and education functions. You will also collaborate with regional and international stakeholders, including Strategic Operations and Regional Medical Affairs teams across International Operations.

Externally, your partners will include key opinion leaders, university hospitals, private clinics, pharmacies, academic institutions, national medical societies, patient associations, e-health providers and local authorities. You will bring different perspectives together, creating clarity and helping teams move from scientific insight to meaningful action.

What you can expect here

You will work with a high level of independence and decision-making authority, contributing directly to scientific communication, clinical planning, publication strategy and medical education. The role offers practical opportunities to develop your expertise across therapeutic areas, build your professional network and broaden your skills through cross-functional collaboration.

You will be trusted to take ownership of your territory, supported to grow through real-world experience and encouraged to bring new ideas — whether that means exploring innovative engagement channels or finding better ways to connect science with the people it serves.
