YOUR TASKS

Overall responsibilities and duties:
o Develop and implement manufacturing technologies for complex lighting modules within a global network; conduct global planning, coordination, and approval of new and complex manufacturing technologies in alignment with the product development process.
o Plan and specify complex work cycles, manufacturing sequences, and production equipment, considering new and modified processes as well as market developments; develop, maintain and improve manufacturing procedures, documentation, tools, fixtures, equipment and production line on all products, and be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and maintaining manufacturing Work Instructions.
o Provide end-to-end technical support of product development with a focus on manufacturability, quality, cost efficiency, and lifecycle management from project acquisition to end of serial production, and support DFM (design for manufacturing)/DFA (design for assembly).
o Participate in global and regional project teams and continuous improvement activities; act as a global point of contact for technical manufacturing topics and actively contribute to the development and sharing of know-how worldwide.
o Globally coordinate and implement process and production equipment changes including active management of improvement measures, and lead and implement data-driven improvements within the manufacturing operation for product design, assembly processes, and supply chain management; initiate and/or approve all necessary changes in product design, tooling, methods, processes and any documentation that affects the manufacturability of an item or process, including Process Validation protocols.
o Conduct FMEA-based risk assessments complying with customer requirements and implement corresponding corrective actions; work closely with contract manufacturers and sub-tier suppliers to design, characterize and qualify high capability processes using PFMEA, process flows, control plans, process validations, and product acceptance criteria; identify the root cause of manufacturing process and product non-conformities and implement corrective and preventative actions to avoid recurrence; review ECR’s and lead a cross-functional team to execute ECO’s into production.
o Provide technical oversight for manufacturing production performance, including product yield and cycle time management and scrap rate control.
o Plan production capacities, layouts, sampling, production ramp-up, audits, and change management activities.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

o Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related fields
o More than 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
o Background in automotive industry; experience in automotive lighting is preferred
o Experience in cross-regional project management and coordination is preferred
o Familiar with products and manufacturing processes
o Masters the transfer process to the production department (full run process)
o Knowledge in the field of design for assembly and assembly technology
o Good oral and written English
o Strong communication, logical thinking and teamwork skills
o Customer focus
o Collaborates with others
