Job Description

ABOUT TOPGOLF

Topgolf is where golf meets a great time. We're a high-energy sports entertainment venue where every shift is different, every guest brings their own energy, and the people who work here make it all happen. If you're looking for a place to grow, have fun, and be part of something bigger than a job description, you're in the right place.

About the Role

The Regional Marketing Director is a field-based marketing leader responsible for driving local and regional guest acquisition, traffic, and revenue across an assigned portfolio of Topgolf venues. This role bridges national brand strategy and on-the-ground execution, translating campaigns, membership programs, and promotions into market-specific plans that resonate with local guests and deliver measurable results.

You'll own the full local marketing ecosystem for your territory, from activating seasonal pass and membership programs and growing walk-in and reserved traffic, to building community partnerships and championing the guest experience in-market. This position sits at the intersection of brand, data, and operations, requiring both strategic thinking and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to execution.

What You'll Do

Local Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute territory-specific marketing plans that drive guest traffic, reservations, and revenue, aligned with brand standards and national campaign priorities.
  • Localize national promotions, seasonal campaigns, and membership/loyalty initiatives for each market's unique guest profile and competitive landscape.
  • Serve as the primary marketing voice in the field, partnering with venue General Managers and Regional Operations on in-venue execution and guest experience.
  • Identify and respond quickly to local market dynamics, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.

Traffic, Reservations & Revenue Growth

  • Own local accountability for venue traffic KPIs, including reserved play, walk-in visits, frequency of return, and spend-per-visit.
  • Develop targeted promotions and local offers to stimulate demand during off-peak periods and capitalize on high-opportunity windows like summer and holidays.
  • Activate and promote the seasonal pass program within the territory, maximizing awareness and conversion online and in-venue.
  • Partner with venue teams to optimize the guest journey from booking through the in-bay experience.

Membership, Pass & Loyalty Activation

  • Drive acquisition and engagement for membership and loyalty programs, with a focus on avid golfers and high-frequency guests.
  • Execute locally relevant tactics to promote membership and seasonal pass offerings at venues with strong golf-centric guest profiles.
  • Partner with marketing and CRM teams to deploy segmented messaging to the right guest profiles through the right local channels.
  • Relay on-the-ground guest feedback and market intelligence to inform membership and loyalty strategy.

Community Partnerships & Local Sponsorships

  • Identify and manage local partnerships, sponsorships, and cross-promotions with businesses, golf clubs, sports organizations, and community groups.
  • Build relationships with local media, influencers, and community voices to amplify brand presence.
  • Support golf-specific activations and industry partnerships that deepen engagement with the avid golf community.
  • Leverage local sports, entertainment, and community calendars to create timely, revenue-driving promotions.

Digital, Social & In-Market Communications

  • Oversee local digital execution including paid social, local search/SEO, email, and geo-targeted advertising in coordination with the performance marketing team.
  • Manage venue-level social media presence, ensuring content is on-brand, locally relevant, and drives engagement and conversion.
  • Maintain a consistent, compelling brand voice across digital, social, PR, and in-venue channels.
  • Identify and engage local content creators and brand advocates to expand organic reach.

Insights, Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report on key performance metrics for the territory, including traffic trends, campaign ROI, membership acquisition, and guest satisfaction.
  • Leverage analytics tools, CRM data, and local market research to inform decisions and optimize spend.
  • Maintain a test-and-learn mindset, pilot new local tactics and sharing best practices with the broader field marketing team.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of marketing experience with demonstrated success in local, field, or regional marketing roles; multi-unit hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, or retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable revenue and traffic results at the market level through integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong command of digital marketing channels including paid social, local SEO, email, and digital advertising platforms.
  • Experience managing CRM tools and leveraging data and guest segmentation to develop targeted, conversion-focused campaigns.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous campaigns and venue priorities across a defined territory with minimal oversight.
  • Strong community presence and relationship-building skills, with experience cultivating local partnerships, sponsorships, and media relationships.
  • A collaborative partner to operations teams, able to influence without authority and align venue teams around marketing plans.
  • Experience in membership-driven businesses or loyalty program activation is a plus.
  • Golf knowledge or passion for the golf entertainment category is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent experience a plus.

What Makes You Successful Here

  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed, with a bias for action and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Guest-obsessed, with a deep commitment to delivering exceptional local experiences that build loyalty and repeat visitation.
  • A data-driven decision maker who balances analytical rigor with creative instinct.
  • A strong communicator and relationship builder, equally comfortable presenting results to senior stakeholders and collaborating day-to-day with venue General Managers.
  • Locally embedded, with the ability to genuinely understand and connect with the communities and markets you serve.
  • A brand steward who champions consistency while creatively adapting national messaging for local relevance.

Travel & Work Arrangement

This is a field-based position. You'll spend significant time visiting venues within your territory, attending local events, and engaging with community partners. Regular travel within the territory is required, along with occasional travel to Topgolf venue support center in Dallas, TX for team meetings, planning cycles, and training.
