🔷 Purpose of the Role

This is a senior leadership opportunity with responsibility for the growth, profitability and ongoing success of CBN’s New Zealand region.

As Regional Manager, you will lead the New Zealand team, manage regional performance and partner closely with brokers to strengthen their businesses. You’ll develop strategic plans, improve broker capability and compliance, identify growth opportunities and expand the CBN network across New Zealand.

✨ What You’ll Do

Drive Regional Growth

• Lead the performance, profitability and growth of the New Zealand region.
• Deliver CBN's distribution strategy and identify opportunities to expand the network.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective brokers.
• Support broker succession planning, acquisitions and business growth initiatives.

Partner with Brokers

• Work closely with brokers to strengthen their businesses and improve performance.
• Provide coaching, business advice and strategic support.
• Monitor broker compliance and implement improvement plans where required.
• Collaborate with insurers and internal teams to resolve complex issues and deliver positive outcomes.

Lead and Develop the Team

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing New Zealand team.
• Set clear goals, provide regular feedback and support professional development.
• Foster collaboration across CBN to achieve regional and business objectives.

💡 What You’ll Bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re commercially minded, people-focused and confident leading teams and influencing complex stakeholder groups.

You bring:

• At least five years’ experience within an insurance broking practice or related sales environment
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team
• Strong knowledge of the general insurance industry
• Experience managing key accounts and complex stakeholder relationships
• Proven commercial capability, including portfolio management and financial accountability
• Experience developing business strategies and driving growth
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills
• The ability to build trusted relationships with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
• A Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualification
