Job Description

Inhabit, part of the Egis Group, is a specialist consultancy focused on the design and advancement of the built environment. We are committed to making a positive impact at a global scale with human experience central to our activities. Our solutions-led approach allows us to work as creative design partners with leading architecture, engineering, and interior design practices from concept through to completion.

Our Lighting Design teams across Asia-Pacific create unique visual experiences for hospitality, commercial, retail, transportation, entertainment, and residential projects. We are a diverse team of designers and technical specialists who value collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence.

Join our Façade and Sustainability team as a Regional Manager, leading an integrated team of façade and sustainability specialists who design high-performance building envelopes and influence the usability and sustainability of the precincts in which they sit. In this role, you will combine people leadership, technical excellence and commercial acumen to strengthen a high-performing team and drive operational excellence across the region.

Reporting to the National Director – Facades and Sustainability Building Engineering, you will foster a culture of innovation where specialists apply their expertise to solve complex challenges and deliver commercially viable, technically robust and environmentally responsible outcomes — enhancing building performance, reducing lifecycle costs and contributing to a more sustainable built environment. This role is based in Queensland, seated in the Brisbane CBD.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Leading, inspiring and developing a high-performing multidisciplinary team, building a positive, inclusive and accountable culture aligned to our values
  • Providing clear direction, coaching and performance feedback, and proactively managing team workload and capability
  • Translating strategy into clear priorities, goals and measurable outcomes, and identifying opportunities for growth, innovation and market differentiation
  • Contributing to regional business planning and setting and delivering on team KPIs including utilisation, revenue and profitability
  • Developing return briefs and fee proposals, as well as project management after approval of scope into the delivery phase
  • Managing budgets, forecasting and financial performance, and monitoring invoicing, revenue pipelines and project cash flow
  • Providing technical oversight and leadership across façade and sustainability projects, including the design and analysis of façade systems and specialty structures
  • Ensuring high-quality delivery across all project phases, guiding the preparation and review of reports, specifications and technical documentation
  • Coordinating with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary consultants, and supporting construction phase activities including inspections, testing and issue resolution
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required standards, managing project risks, compliance and performance outcomes
  • Embedding continuous improvement and lessons learned into delivery, and driving innovative, sustainable and commercially viable engineering solutions

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have significant experience in façade engineering, building envelope design or specialist related consulting, along with a proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams. In addition, you will also have:

  • A degree qualification in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline (essential)
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams
  • A proven track record in project delivery across design, documentation and construction phases
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, fees and financial performance
  • An inspiring and authentic leadership style with a strong people focus and a commitment to developing others
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • A high level of accountability and ownership, with strong decision-making capability
  • Resilience and the ability to lead through complexity and change
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-oriented approach, with a continuous improvement and innovation mindset
