Summary

The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of multiple properties within the assigned region. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, enhance resident satisfaction, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. The Regional Manager will collaborate with property teams to implement best practices, optimize property performance, and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight:
  • Manage day-to-day operations of properties, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate property performance, assess resident satisfaction, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Financial Management:
  • Prepare, implement, and manage annual operating budgets for assigned properties, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor property management staff, fostering a culture of professional development and high performance.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Resident Relations:
  • Enhance resident satisfaction through effective communication, conflict resolution, and proactive engagement.
  • Implement resident retention strategies and oversee lease renewal processes.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing laws.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect company assets and reputation.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new residents and retain existing ones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in property management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple properties.
  • Skills:
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to drive operational improvements and enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Travel:
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to various property locations.
