About the Job

We are looking for a dynamic Regional Logistics Manager to lead secondary distribution operations within the assigned branch territory. The role is responsible for ensuring best-in-class service levels at optimum cost, while staying fully compliant on storage, transportation, sustainability, safety and security standards.

This is a high-impact role that combines strategic network design with hands-on execution, working closely with Sales, O2C, Finance, Factories, HO Logistics, 3PL partners, transporters and Carrying & Forwarding Agents (CFAs) to deliver a seamless end-to-end distribution experience.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution & Transportation Management

  • Manage Cost of Distribution (COD) by optimizing inbound and outbound delivery (E2E) to control Total Delivered Cost (FDC / VDC / % COD).
  • Drive Distribution Network Redesign, Logistics Excellence and related projects across delivery transportation and downstream warehouse operations.
  • Prepare the Transport strategy along with T-Hub, onboard new carriers for downstream operations, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Complete formalities and ensure recovery of accident/loss claims for primary and secondary movements.

Warehouse & DC Operations

  • Lead DC improvement projects – manpower productivity, MHE utilization, DIDO/GIGO improvement, warehouse utilization – ensuring minimal business disruption.
  • Prepare warehouse strategy and manage new infrastructure transitions in line with business volume progression (OPL/MBS).
  • Ensure 100% cycle count and inventory accuracy along with adherence to internal & external compliance guidelines.

Service Levels & Customer Fulfilment

  • Maintain COF / OTIF / ZATP, reduce CD OOS and secondary OTRs.
  • Resolve CD complaints related to shortages/damages and drive corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the Sales team and O2C team to onboard new customers post CSP alignment and ensure full supply.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure cool chain compliance in downstream storage and transportation (DC to Distributor).
  • Drive batch traceability, reefer service and chilled service strategies.
  • Adhere to the company charter on supply and distribution of Infant Milk Substitutes and Infant Foods.

Transformation & Automation

  • Identify and deploy advanced process improvement tools in warehousing (WMS, Dock Management, RF Implementation).
  • Implement digital solutions in transportation – Transporeon, In-Transit Visibility, Digital Hygiene Checklist, LCOP, ERC, OVT.
  • Roll out all Distribution-related HO projects (LER, CLER, Trainings, LVS) at the unit level.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage vendors and ensure formal execution of agreements with DC owners, CFAs and Carriers.
  • Trigger transport events on a real-time basis and ensure timely issuance of detention certificates.
  • Maintain strong P2P process compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • MBA / PGDM from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution (full-time).
  • 2 – 5 years of relevant post-MBA experience in Logistics, Warehousing, Transportation or Distribution within FMCG / Consumer / Supply Chain-intensive industries.
  • Mandatory experience in managing Warehousing Operations and Transportation Management.
  • Strong experience in team management, stakeholder engagement, coordination with Sales and Order-to-Cash (O2C) teams, and end-to-end execution ownership.
  • Exposure to transformation and automation projects in supply chain / logistics.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, WMS, TMS and digital logistics tools (e.g., Transporeon, In-Transit Visibility).
  • Understanding of the FMCG value chain, freight market trends, and transport costing (fixed vs. variable)
  • Knowledge of the local language of the region is an added advantage.
