Reporting to the Director of Supported Living, the Regional Leader, Culture & Supports (RLCS) is responsible for overseeing all services and budgets within their assigned regional hub. The Regional Leader embraces and communicates the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategies, acting as an ambassador of DeafBlind Ontario Services while building awareness and relationships within communities.

YOUR ROLE

  • Responsible for managing the implementation and monitoring of regional operating and financial plans (including petty cash, comfort books, passport), ensuring services and supports operate in compliance with DeafBlind Ontario Services policies, procedures, values, and applicable legislation.
  • Provides visible leadership across assigned locations, promoting a positive workplace culture that reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Effectively develops and supports Service Leaders through coaching, mentoring, performance management, goal setting, professional development, and regular communication.
  • Partners with Human Resources to support recruitment activities, employee relations matters, investigations, attendance support, performance improvement plans, workplace accommodations, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensures services are person-centered and aligned with organizational quality standards while supporting Leads in achieving positive outcomes for the people supported.
  • Responsible for all audits, site inspections, and legislative compliance and safety standards.
  • Performs Serious Occurrence duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains effective relationships with families, community partners, contractors, municipalities, and other stakeholders as required to support service delivery and organizational objectives.
  • Promotes the values of the organization within the workplace and community by demonstrating positive and professional relationships with employees, families, volunteers, advocates, employers, and community partners.
  • Ensures the health and safety of all employees and the people supported at all times. Reports all unsafe conditions, hazards, accidents, and incidents in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and adheres to all organizational health and safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Completion of a College diploma in community services or a related field
  • 6 – 10 years of experience in a similar leadership capacity
  • Experience within the not-for-profit sector preferred.
