Regional IT Support Specialist

Location: Mobile, AL (Base Office)

Territory: Gulf Coast Region (Jacksonville, FL to Lake Charles, LA)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional evenings and weekends

required as needed)

Travel: Moderate, including overnight regional travel

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile, self-motivated Regional IT Support Specialist to manage and support technology operations across our fitness gym franchise locations throughout the Gulf Coast. Based out of Mobile, AL, you will oversee hardware, software, and cloud-based productivity infrastructure, partner with specialized vendors, and ensure smooth club operations from Florida to Louisiana.

Our corporate and club communications run on Google Workspace, paired with a Windows-based client environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT technician who thrives on autonomy, enjoys occasional regional travel, and takes pride in keeping operational technology seamless for club staff and members.

Key Responsibilities

• Desktop & Systems Support: Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based workstations, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and club administrative computers.
• Google Workspace Administration: Manage user provisioning, access
• permissions, shared drives, organizational units, and Gmail/Calendar integration across club locations.
• Vendor & Project Coordination: Liaise directly with third-party vendors to
• install, troubleshoot, and upgrade commercial Audio/Visual (A/V) systems, digital signage, sound equipment, and CCTV/video surveillance setups.
• Network & Connectivity Support: Maintain local network hardware, routers, switches, access points, and member Wi-Fi environments across franchise locations.
• Regional Travel & Club Openings: Travel across the Gulf Coast region (Jacksonville, FL to Lake Charles, LA) to perform on-site troubleshooting, routine maintenance audits, and technology rollouts for new club grand openings.
• Escalated & After-Hours Support: Provide standard daytime support while handling periodic after-hours or weekend issues during club emergencies or scheduled off-peak maintenance windows.
• Asset & Documentation Management: Track IT equipment inventory, software licenses, warranties, and vendor service-level agreements (SLAs).

Required Qualifications

• Operating Systems: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows environments (Windows 10/11 Pro, basic system management, and local networking).
• Cloud & Collaboration Tools: Practical experience administering and supporting Google Workspace (Admin Console, Gmail, Drive, Docs/Sheets user management).
• Vendor Management: Experience collaborating with external service providers, particularly for commercial A/V setups and IP-based security/surveillance cameras.
• Mobility & Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel across the Gulf Coast corridor, including overnight stays as projects demand.
• Availability: Capability to work a standard 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM schedule, with flexibility to provide occasional evening or weekend coverage.
• Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record and reliable personal transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ certifications are a plus, though practical hands-on experience is valued equally.
• Google Workspace Certification: Google Workspace Administrator or related cloud credentials.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in multi-unit retail, hospitality, or fitness center environments. Telecom/Cable Management: Familiarity with basic low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6), patch panels, and server rack management.

Compensation: $60,000.00 per year
