Job Description

Inventory Control disciplines are essential to manage the financial and operational risks to Ford Motor Company.

Support financial and quantitative control/accuracy of inventory by following the directives expressed in the Financial Manual (FM) and guidelines outlined in the Production Inventory Guidelines.Monitor and drive Inventory Control principles to ensure oversight procedures are in place to drive inventory control and compliance.

Responsibilities

Compliance:

  • Support the Items in the Production Inventory Guidelines to ensure oversight procedures are in place to drive inventory control
  • Review 401 Scorecard metrics for North America.Focus attention and lend support to plants needing special attention.
  • Document Production Inventory Scorecard Open Gaps:
  • Support weekly 401 Red Items - Action Review.
  • Support for MCRP testing and audits

Finance:

  • Work with finance to align Monthly Inventory and Forecast Reviews
  • Review and report on financial and quantitative control/accuracy of inventory by following the directives expressed in the Financial Manual (FM) and guidelines outlined in the Production Inventory Guidelines

  • Work with finance to align Monthly Inventory and Forecast Reviews

  • Identify Inventory reduction opportunities/efficiencies at respective plants
  • Assist with negative balance performance.

Special Projects:

  • Lead special projects to closure as needed.

  • Functional understanding of CMMS Inventory transactions and inventory business practices and supporting systems.

  • Strong leadership behaviors, with a systemic process-oriented mindset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead cross-functional teams

  • Familiarity with SAP

  • Experience with CMMS3 Data/Datamart or other Data Analytical Tools

  • Strong supply chain, supplier performance and/or plant experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
