Regional Integrated Operations Leader
Position Statement
The Regional Integrated Operations Leader is a senior regional leader accountable for end-to-end operations within their geography, with primary emphasis on contract manufacturing (CM) partner performance, regional business process execution, and commercial relationships with customers and CM partners. Reporting to the global Integrated Operations Leader (IOL), the role translates enterprise operations strategy into regional execution, drives top-quartile results in safety, quality, service, cost, and asset productivity across the regional CM network, and serves as the operations face to regional commercial leadership and key customers. The Regional IOL builds local capability, governs the CM partnership model, and ensures alignment between commercial priorities and regional operations to enable profitable, reliable growth.
Strategic Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Regional Contract Manufacturing Performance Partnering with the Contract Manufacturing organization to drive end-to-end performance of the regional CM network across EH&S, quality, service, cost, and capacity utilization.
- CM Partner Governance & Commercial Management Partners with the Contract Manufacturing organization to strengthen the commercial relationship with CM partners.
- Regional Operations Execution Translates the global integrated operations and supply chain strategy into a regional execution plan; delivers reliable supply.
- Customer & Commercial Alignment Serves as the senior operations partner to regional commercial leadership and key customer accounts; participates in strategic customer engagements, ensures operational commitments are deliverable, and resolves escalations.
- Business Process Ownership Owns regional execution of standard business processes
- Financial & Business Results Delivers regional financial commitments, including cost of revenue (COR), gross margin contribution, and cost-to-serve. Identifies and executes productivity opportunities across the CM network.
- Operational Excellence & Digital Advancement Champions continuous improvement, lean principles, and digital tools across the regional CM network. Drives standard work, control-tower visibility, and performance management disciplines.
- Quality & Supply Assurance Owns regional quality strategy with CM partners, including product stewardship, audits, non-conformance management, and rapid customer issue resolution.
- Talent & Organizational Leadership Builds and develops a high-performing regional team and CM-facing capability; fosters a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Enterprise Contribution Contributes to the global IO leadership team; shapes the enterprise CM strategy, shares regional insights, and ensures cross-regional alignment and best-practice transfer.
High-Level Responsibilities
- Translate enterprise integrated operations strategy into a regional execution roadmap focused on the CM network.
- Serve as the senior operations interface to regional commercial leadership and strategic customer accounts.
- Resolve quality, delivery, and capacity issues with CM partners and ensure sustainable corrective actions.
- Partner with global asset strategy on regional CM footprint, qualification of new partners, and capacity planning.
- Deploy lean, continuous improvement, and digital tools across the regional CM network.
- Ensure compliance with EH&S, quality, regulatory, and trade requirements across all regional operations.
- Develop talent and build local capability in CM oversight, quality, and commercial management.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Regional Operations Leadership 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across manufacturing and supply chain.
- Commercial Acumen & Negotiation Demonstrated ability to lead commercial discussions with external partners and to engage credibly with internal commercial leaders and external customers; experience structuring and negotiating supply agreements.
- Integrated Business Process Discipline Strong working knowledge of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), demand-supply planning, and order-to-deliver processes, with a track record of driving process rigor and data integrity.
- End-to-End Supply Chain Knowledge Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain integration, logistics, procurement, and external manufacturing models.
- Performance & Transformation Track Record History of delivering measurable operational results across a CM or multi-site network and leading continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
- Financial Acumen Strong business and financial fluency, with experience managing COR, gross margin, inventory, and cost-to-serve in an outsourced or hybrid manufacturing model.
- Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Practical expertise in lean, operational excellence systems, and performance management disciplines applied across internal and external operations.
- EH&S and Quality Leadership Strong grounding in EH&S, process safety, and quality systems, with the ability to hold CM partners to enterprise standards.
- Stakeholder Influence Credible regional leader able to influence senior internal stakeholders, external CM executives, and key customers; comfortable operating in a matrixed global organization.
- Talent Development Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams and to grow leadership capability in CM oversight and commercial roles.
- Global Mindset & Complexity Leadership Learning agility to navigate ambiguity, operate across diverse geographies and cultures, and balance enterprise standards with regional realities.
- Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required
