Operational Excellence & DM Manager Asia

MISSION

In one or two sentences, outline the primary purpose(s) of this position within the organization

Animate and lead the deployment of OPEX (operational excellence) and Lean Manufacturing Tools in the plant to continuously improve the Manufacturing Process in terms of safety, ergonomics, productivity, budget respect, Direct Labor and Indirect Labor efficiency, flows and stock optimization. Taking lead new technology (AGV, humanoid) to drive excellent operation.

Responsibilities & Activities

Outline the key areas of responsibility for this position, including the related activities and eventual authorities

  • Lead Asia OPEX network :
    • Make the interface with the plants : sharing of best manufacturing practices
    • Animate Asia SMED network
    • Attend and contribute to the monthly Opex/DM reviews & Kaizen game plan monthly review to follow and drive savings
  • Lead Continuous Improvement :
    • Identify, define, animate Continuous Improvement activities related to opportunities for safety, quality, productivities improvement, measuring current process performance, analyzing root causes, and developing targeted process improvement opportunities within the plant.
    • Animate improvement / kaizen workshops in multiple domains: SMED, 5S, VSM, stock reduction, layout, TPM, Visual Management, Scrap & Usage… to drive ideas and solutions
    • Structure and formalize the road map and the progress (Kaizen Game Plan, reports…)
    • Animate TCI (Total Continuous Improvement) System and plant TCI network
  • New project Opex review
    • Track Asian all new project Opex review status
    • Participate the new project Opex review and contribute the Operation Excellence Expertise for the project, to improve industrial scenario and ramp-up performance
  • New technology development & deployment
    • Taking lead AGV deployment in Aisan plants to improve IDL productivity
    • Participating humanoid use case development and deployment
    • Identifying other new solutions/technologies to continuously improve competitiveness of OPmobility
  • Coaching :
    • Being the reference in term of Lean tools: training, coaching , practical implementation
    • Establish team work with plant Production, Engineering, Logistics team,…Each workshop is each time an opportunity for progress but also for coaching/education of the employees.
  • 100% LOTO (lock out / tag out)
  • In case of emergency, the employee is authorized to press the emergency stop button of the equipment to interrupt the production

Have authority to stop machines (E-stop) in case of immediate risk to avoid safety accidents and people injured.

Consciously accept safety training, actively participate in safety activities and comply with safety regulations;

Report unsafe status and behaviors in time, and actively participate in safety improvement.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Personal Background

  • Bachelor or Master DegreeMajor in Industrial Engineering; Manufacturing and Production Management, Mechanical Engineering

Job Technical and soft skills

  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Lean Tools
  • Visual Management…
  • Strong LEAN Manufacturing Mindset and <Tools Box> understanding, such as; SMED / Hoshin / VSM / Visual Management ….
  • A ‘completer-finisher’ taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery, in an environment that requires robust metrics to confirm success
  • Basic Digital Manufacturing knowledge, data analysis skill
  • Cross-function/ cross-process communication and cooperation ability

Job Soft skills

  • Excellent presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written
  • Minimum 10 years industrial project development experience as industrial Engineer, or Lean manufacturing working experience
  • English: speaking, listening, reading and writing: fluent
  • The Mind Map / FMEA ability
  • Plastic material blow molding, welding process control; related machines working principles
  • Works well in team environment, with sound negotiation and good problem solving skills
  • Influence skill; cross-cultural communication; industrial engineering technical skill
