Kimley-Horn is seeking a strategic and emotionally intelligent Regional Human Resources Manager/Director to join the leadership team supporting our Southwest Region. Based in our Phoenix, Arizona (AZ) office, this role provides HR leadership and consultation to multiple offices while serving as a trusted partner to company leadership. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our firmwide HR team to drive talent, culture, and business initiatives that support Kimley-Horn's continued growth and success. This is a full-time, in-office position.
The Regional HR Manager/Director provides strategic HR leadership as a member of the regional leadership team. Responsibilities span many aspects of HR management including employee relations, recruiting, integration, retention, and employee development activities for the region which encompasses Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico.
Duties include collaborating with internal clients on sensitive employment matters (such as performance management), developing and implementing retention strategies and tactics, overseeing a regional recruiting program, partnering on senior level recruiting initiatives with industry leaders and senior recruiters, identifying and resolving compliance related issues, providing coaching to the Leadership Team, and developing and delivering employee training. The Regional HR Manager/Director is responsible for leading and growing the regional HR team.
The Regional HR Manager will report to the Regional Leader, with dotted line reporting to the firm’s Director of Human Resources, and will collaborate closely with the regional production, marketing, finance, and information technology leaders and with the other Regional HR Managers/Directors across the firm. The position will require constant interaction with consulting engineering practice leaders in the region to ensure quality client service to internal clients.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s in HR or related field; SPHR, PHR or SHRM-CP preferred; a minimum of 12 years of HR experience in professional services or a relevant field encompassing the responsibilities and duties outlined above; and a demonstrated record of organizational leadership experience. The position will be based full-time in our Phoenix, Arizona (AZ) office. Candidates should expect to travel approximately 30% of the time to offices across the region.
