FlexStaff is seeking a Home Care Field Registered Nurse Supervisor to work for one of our external clients, a non-profit organization that provides home healthcare services to the elderly, disabled and chronically ill in the New York metropolitan area.
This is a temporary contract with possibility to become permanent.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, (1 hour lunch)
In this role you will be responsible for conducting supervisory joint visits with Field Nurses in the Bronx, NY and Manhattan, NY, providing training/in-service education to professional clinical field staff and paraprofessional staff, performing nursing duties as assigned in the Diagnostic & Treatment Center (DTC) or Medical Practice.
Requirements:
Minimum of one (1+) year of experience in home care as a community health nurse in a Certified Home Health Agency, Long Term Home Health Care Program, and/or Licensed Agency. Minimum of 1-year experience working with the elderly.
Supervisory experience in a community health settings, home care or MLTC
Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Conduct audits and validate clinical documentation for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with evidence-based practice.
Perform supervisory field visits, assess competencies, and oversee paraprofessional staff.
Collaborate with care coordinators, partner organizations, and interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines.
Supervise and guide CHNs, Personal Care Aides, and Home Health Aides.
Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for assigned cases.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
