The Opportunity

As the Regional Health & Safety Manager, you will lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of safety across a complex, multi-project infrastructure portfolio spanning Victoria and Tasmania.

Reporting to the General Manager and based in our Hawthorn East VIC office, you will play a critical role in aligning national safety frameworks with regional execution. Partner closely with project teams and senior leaders to ensure compliance and support the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support regional safety teams to drive consistency and performance
• Maintain oversight of critical risks, high-risk projects and emerging safety issues
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and BMD safety requirements
• Drive safety systems, reporting, and assurance activities across the region
• Lead incident response, investigations and implementation of learnings
• Deliver continuous improvement initiatives and build regional safety capability

About You

• You’re an experienced safety leader with a strong track record operating within large-scale civil construction environments, bringing strategic capability and practical, field-based influence.
• Extensive experience (typically 8–12+ years) leading health and safety across multiple projects or operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian and Tasmanian workplace health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Demonstrated experience undertaking incident investigations, audits and risk management activities.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly.
