β Build and maintain dashboards (SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, BI tools such as Looker/Tableau/Power BI) to track city-
level and national performance in near real-time.
β Conduct root-cause analysis when key metrics deviate from targets (e.g., sudden drop in driver supply, spike in cancellations, service quality issues in a specific city/zone).
β Translate raw data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for operations and leadership.
Supply & Demand Management
β Analyze supply-demand imbalances by city, zone, and time-of-day; recommend incentive structures, driver
acquisition targets, or repositioning strategies to close gaps.
β Support design and evaluation of driver-partner incentive programs (sign-on bonuses, trip-based incentives,
retention bonuses) β modeling cost, expected uplift, and ROI.
β Partner with City Operations teams to execute localized interventions (e.g., driver recruitment drives, fleet
reallocation, zone-specific promotions).
Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
β Identify inefficiencies in existing operational workflows (driver onboarding, document verification, support ticket
resolution, fraud review, payouts) and design improved processes.
β Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure consistent execution across city teams.
β Run pilot programs/experiments (A/B tests) for new operational policies before national rollout, and measure
impact against control groups.
Reporting & Business Reviews
β Prepare weekly/monthly business performance reports and dashboards for leadership, highlighting trends, risks,
and opportunities.
β Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with data-backed narratives on growth, unit economics, and
operational health.
β Maintain a single source of truth for key operational metrics and definitions across teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
β Work with Finance on unit economics, cost-per-trip, incentive spend efficiency, and payout accuracy.
β Work with Marketing/Growth on promo effectiveness, rider acquisition cost, and retention analysis.
β Work with Product/Engineering to flag app or system issues affecting operations (e.g., matching algorithm
inefficiencies, payment failures) and help prioritize fixes based on business impact.
β Work with Trust & Safety on fraud pattern detection, incident analysis, and driver/rider quality scoring.
Risk, Fraud & Compliance Support
β Analyze transaction and trip data to detect anomalies indicative of fraud (fake trips, GPS spoofing, incentive abuse).
β Support investigations into flagged accounts and recommend policy adjustments to close loopholes.
β Ensure operational practices align with relevant local transport, labor, and data privacy regulations.
Strategic Projects
β Support new city/market launches: market sizing, competitive analysis, supply seeding strategy, and launch
performance tracking.
β Contribute to ad hoc strategic projects as assigned (e.g., new service line feasibility, driver welfare programs,
sustainability initiatives).
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, or a
related quantitative field.
1β4 years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, analytics, or a similar role β experience in ride-hailing, logistics, e-commerce, or on-demand marketplaces is a strong plus.
β Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and SQL for querying large datasets.
β Familiarity with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
β Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills; comfortable working with ambiguous, messy, real-world data.
β Excellent communication skills β able to translate complex data into
simple, actionable narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
β Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
β Comfortable with occasional field visits to understand on-ground driver/rider operations.
β Experience designing or evaluating incentive/pricing programs.
β Background in a high-growth startup or marketplace business.

Benefits
Why join Angkas?

Our mission is to provide inclusive mobility for Filipinos using the versatility of motorcycles.
Given the worsening traffic in major urban areas from the lagging infrastructure development in the country, Filipinos require more and better transport options, whether to transport themselves, or to have items delivered. We believe that motorcycles are low-cost, versatile, and most of all, already widely adopted for personal use and therefore an effective solution. They are currently underutilized though as a for-hire service, and it is our mission to increase their accessibility to more people.
