Carrier Rentals Systems provides year-round solutions for temperature & humidity control, ventilation & filtration along with power generation & electrical distribution to commercial & industrial markets by renting HVAC equipment. These solutions support emergency breakdowns, planned outages, equipment retrofits, increasing production capacity and plant expansions

About this role

We are seeking a Regional General Manager, Rentals who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize profits, rental offerings and organizational efficiency. The incumbent will have full P&L responsibility for the Rentals businesses within their markets.

In addition, the Rentals GM will ensure the business maintains its strategic competitive position and develops short- and long-term strategies and goals in alignment with global financial goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and collaboratively execute strategies to promote and grow Carrier Rentals across the North America territory

• Collaborate across Carrier functions and business divisions in all territories to identify aftermarket opportunities with existing and new customers.

• Ensure active and viable succession planning for position across territory team’s leadership.

• Grow the region YoY as per established sales, profitability, and A/R targets.

• Search for new, creative markets to expand the current reach of the Carrier Rentals organization and increase emerging business opportunities.

• Execute plans, ethically and correctly in line with company guidance and policies.

• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Carrier Code of Ethics and relevant EH&S rules.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in commercial operations

• 5+ years of experience leading a team

• High School Diploma or GED

• 50% travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Knowledge and understanding of the Rentals HVAC industry, its customers and competitors

• Demonstrated knowledge of executing advanced selling strategies, marketing techniques and general management

• Demonstrated ability to establish creative approaches to problem resolution and the ability to influence individuals and organizations to implement change is essential

• Possess strong analytical and syntheses skills in combination with sound business judgment to build and sustain financial performance and integrity

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills and customer focus
