Job Description

About Uride Technologies Inc.

Uride is a Canadian technology company redefining local transportation by building a safe, affordable, and reliable ride-sharing platform. Founded in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Uride was created to solve real problems riders and drivers face in underserved and mid-sized cities.

Today, Uride operates in 25 cities across Canada, with international expansion underway in Mexico and Germany. Our growth is driven by a clear mission: make ride sharing more accessible while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and value.

Uride has been recognized by Deloitte’s Fast 50 as one of Canada’s fastest-growing technology companies, reflecting the strength of our platform, team, and execution.

We actively support community initiatives through our Good Deeds program, reinvesting in the cities we serve through local partnerships, sponsorships, and social impact efforts.

Uride is growing quickly and intentionally. Our team values ownership, speed, and accountability, and we give people the autonomy to make decisions that directly impact the business. If you want to build real products, influence strategy, and see your work matter, Uride offers that opportunity.

About the role

Uride is hiring a Regional General Manager to oversee operations across our cities in Atlantic Canada and Alberta. You’ll focus on maintaining consistent marketplace performance, optimising the balance between supply and demand, and ensuring a reliable rider and driver experience across existing cities. This role is execution-driven, with a strong emphasis on operational discipline, reporting, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Be the face of Uride in the local communities that you oversee for drivers, riders, municipalities and partners
  • Monitor and manage key marketplace metrics such as ride volume, fulfilment rate, cancellations, and driver utilisation
  • Maintain a healthy supply-demand balance through ongoing driver engagement, retention, and performance management
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to optimise performance
  • Partner with Customer Support to manage escalations and improve rider and driver satisfaction
  • Work with Marketing to support ongoing campaigns and demand consistency
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, service standards, and regional regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular market reviews and provide clear, data-backed recommendations to leadership
  • Travel within the region as needed to support operations and maintain local visibility

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in operations, ideally within a marketplace, ride-sharing, logistics, or transportation environment
  • Strong experience in business operations reporting and performance tracking
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (data analysis, reporting, dashboards)
  • Proven ability to manage ongoing operations across multiple locations or business units
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Atlantic Canada

Nice to have

  • Experience in ride-sharing platforms or ground passenger transportation
  • Experience managing driver or field-based workforces
  • Exposure to regulatory or compliance requirements in transportation

About Uride

Uride is Canada's fastest growing ridesharing company. Uride was created to fill the massive transportation void that exists in small and mid-market communities that have yet to experience ridesharing. Our goal is to eliminate drinking and driving across Canada. We will do this by continuing to provide fast, affordable, seamless rides for our passengers. In our launch city, Thunder Bay, we had the longest wait times for a taxi in Canada and the second highest fares. Drinking and driving had gone up drastically prior to Uride entering the market. We were born and raised here, and we care about the people. We don’t want to ever see friends, family, or strangers stranded waiting for a ride ever again. We will continue to work tirelessly to provide the best service we possibly can for communities across Canada.
