Lead Fleet Performance Across Multiple Locations

Hulcher Services is seeking an experienced Regional Fleet & Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and performance of heavy equipment across multiple divisions.

This role is ideal for a proven fleet or equipment management professional who enjoys solving mechanical challenges, improving preventive maintenance programs, managing vendors and budgets, and partnering with field leadership to maximize equipment uptime.

What You'll Do

As the Regional Fleet & Equipment Manager, you'll oversee preventive maintenance programs, equipment performance, vendor relationships, and fleet compliance while supporting multiple field operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage preventive maintenance programs for heavy equipment across multiple divisions.
  • Inspect equipment and review repair quality to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor oil analysis reports, repair orders, and fleet performance metrics to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Review purchase requisitions, repair invoices, and maintenance expenses for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure purchasing policies are followed, including vendor quotes and cost controls.
  • Partner with Mechanical Service Managers and division leadership to improve fleet reliability.
  • Monitor manufacturer specifications, warranty programs, and maintenance requirements.
  • Assist with equipment procurement, parts sourcing, and vendor management.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Investigate equipment failures and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and transportation standards.
  • Support field operations by maintaining safe, reliable, and mission-ready equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of fleet, heavy equipment, or mechanical management experience.
  • At least 2 years managing multiple locations or regional operations.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams and supporting field operations.
  • Experience developing and managing maintenance budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience working with heavy equipment vendors and repair facilities.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Travel:

  • Travel approximately 50-75% throughout your assigned region
  • Overnight travel required
  • Occasional nights and weekends supporting operational needs
  • Company-paid travel expenses
