Our client is seeking a Regional Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations, accounting, capital flow, and budgeting across Malaysia, the Philippines, and other potential future markets. Our client holds the exclusive rights to deploy all projects in these markets. This ambitious initiative involves the nationwide rollout of the client's proprietary biometric verification device, to verify the unique humanness of users at scale.

We are seeking a highly technical and proficient Regional Financial Controller with expertise in managing complex financial operations across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in high-growth environments, particularly those involving digital assets, cross-border financial flows, and dynamic operational scaling.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Flow Management

• Oversee and execute WLD-to-fiat conversions to ensure operational liquidity across territories.
• Manage intercompany transfers between operating entities and joint venture partners.

Accounting & Reporting

• Lead monthly accounting processes, including P&L reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards in Malaysia and the Philippines (and other potential future markets).

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Conduct monthly and annual budgeting exercises, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to anticipate funding needs and optimize liquidity.
• Lead reforecasting exercises to adapt to evolving business conditions.

Financial Oversight & Strategy

• Support the Regional General Manager and leadership team with financial insights and recommendations.
• Monitor profitability and manage profit-sharing calculations with joint venture partners.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to all financial regulations in each operating territory.
• Manage and mitigate risks associated with digital asset transactions.

Qualifications & Skills

• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
• Proven experience in financial control roles, ideally in tech, blockchain, or international operations.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, including inter company transfer management.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, with experience handling digital assets and cryptocurrency conversions.
• Exceptional analytical and forecasting skills, with a track record of managing complex financial models.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
