Under limited supervision, the Regional Distribution Manager, FC will be responsible for fiscal management of Fulfillment Centers (FCs) within their region to meet and exceed quality, delivery, productivity, and other business goals. This role will lead and manage a team of Operation Managers, FC and provide oversight of the 3PL relationship for their assigned FCs and they will support an environment focused on operational safety and excellent execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.

  • Provides leadership & oversight to the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) operated fulfillment center and Econo processing areas for assigned FCs.

  • Provides direction to the Operations Manager, FC and any other direct reports in support of ongoing improvements for Econo operations.

  • Monitors KPIs on a weekly basis and partners with the 3PL to address any areas that are performing below target.

  • Produces analysis and recommendations (financial and operational) for continuous improvement and execute projects, in partnership with the 3PL, to bring those improvements to life.

  • Establishes and implements short-and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies and operational procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness; implements changes required for improvement.

  • Collaborates with 3PL and Interstate Batteries (IB) internal stakeholders to implement and manage all aspects of assigned FCs.

  • Ensures alignment to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and expected performance standards for identified locations.

  • Ensures physical inventory process and cycle counts are occurring as outlined in our 3PL service level agreements.

  • Monitors and reviews employee performance to operational metrics and service level reporting; provides coaching to the team for professional growth and promote career development.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 10+ years’ experience working in distribution

  • Minimum 7 years of related leadership experience

  • Proven managerial skills such as planning, directing, organizing, communicating, and coordinating

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Servant Leader/Team player; demonstrated ability to collaborate and network in professional, fast paced organization

  • Goal oriented

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to travel to Fulfillment Center locations as needed

Scope Data

  • Responsible for FC budget within assigned region/sites

  • Leadership for the Operations Managers, FC (approximately 4 FTEs)

Work Environment

  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.

  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50+ lbs.

  • May be exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.

  • Prolonged use of personal computer & telephone.

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
