We are now seeking an experienced valuation leader to take ownership of Metro Valuation Operations in a key regional leadership role based in Auckland.

About the Role

Senior operational and people leadership within Metro valuation operations

The Regional Director – Valuation Services (Metro), will be responsible for leading the Auckland valuation operations to deliver high‑quality, compliant outcomes that meet service, turnaround, and profitability expectations.

Reporting to the Director of Valuation Operations – New Zealand, this role provides valuation and people leadership across Associate Directors, Valuers, and Graduates, while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. The position plays a key role in embedding Opteon’s values, driving operational excellence, and achieving regional gross profit targets.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a high‑performing, engaged, and values‑aligned team
  • Driving a constructive culture focused on collaboration, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring service excellence through proactive stakeholder and client engagement
  • Managing operational performance, workflow, and WIP to meet turnaround, quality, and compliance KPIs
  • Owning budget delivery and P&L outcomes, including revenue, margin, forecasting, and cost control
  • Acting as an escalation point for client and operational issues, with a focus on timely resolution
  • Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning
  • Embedding consistent processes, valuation standards, and compliance messaging across the team
  • Supporting and implementing business initiatives, change programs, and regional plans
  • Maintaining your own valuation practice, including inspections, market analysis, reporting, and client advice as required

About You

A respected valuation leader with strong operational and people management capability

We are seeking an experienced Registered Valuer who brings a balance of technical credibility, leadership strength, and commercial awareness, with the ability to lead our Auckland based team through growth and change.

You will bring

  • Membership of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers with Registered Valuer status
  • Ideally 7+ years’ experience as a Registered Valuer
  • Strong leadership experience (minimum 5 years preferred), including leading teams and translating business plans into operational outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to build engaged, high‑performing team cultures
  • Solid understanding of valuation operations, workflow management, and service delivery excellence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to lead change
  • Strong operational, financial, and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and productivity outcomes
  • Alignment with Opteon’s values and a commitment to professionalism and integrity
  • Ability to be based in Auckland
