We are seeking an experienced and visionary Regional Director for Queensland, Northern Territory and New Zealand to lead a significant and diverse business across the region.

This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, customer success, and strong financial performance. You will lead a team of more than 250 employees, build a high-performing and engaged organisation, and translate strategy into action to deliver meaningful business outcomes

Reporting to the Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), you will be a key member of the ANZ frontline leadership team and play an important role in shaping the future direction and success of the business.

What will you be doing?

As Regional Director, you will have overall accountability for the performance and success of the region, including business growth, financial results, operational excellence, customer relationships, and people leadership.

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Drive sustainable and profitable growth by setting clear strategic direction and ensuring strong execution across the region.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision‑making at the Country management team level, ensuring alignment with Area and Global strategies.
  • Anticipate market and environmental trends, implementing changes to stay ahead of customer expectations and competitive dynamics.
  • Fully leverage the organization’s global scale, capabilities, and best practices to enhance local business outcomes.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Lead the overall operational and financial performance of the region, ensuring sustainable profitability and long-term growth.
  • Establish and oversee budgets, operational plans, policies, and programmes to effectively deliver agreed business objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence through disciplined execution, effective resource management, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strong governance, risk management, and compliance across the business.

People Leadership & Culture Development

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of capable and engaged professionals.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Develop leadership capability and create meaningful opportunities for talent growth and succession across the organisation.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging environment where people are empowered to perform, innovate, and grow.

Stakeholder, Customer & Market Engagement

  • Build and strengthen long‑term relationships with key customers to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, regulators, and other key stakeholders, proactively engaging to shape and influence relevant developments.
  • Actively cultivate strategic networks and industry connections to identify new business opportunities and support the sales team in expanding market reach.

Are you the one?

  • Proven leadership experience managing and delivering results for a country-level or regional business, with a strong track record of driving business performance, leading change, and building trusted customer relationships.
  • Strong strategic, commercial, financial, and operational leadership capability.
  • Demonstrated success in developing high-performing teams and building a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, regulators, industry partners, and senior leaders.
  • The ability to navigate complexity, balance competing priorities, and make sound decisions in a dynamic business environment.
  • Experience working successfully within a large, complex, and matrix organisation.
