Job Description

Regional Director of Marketing & Community Engagement

Chick-fil-A Robinson & Chick-fil-A Moon Township

Overview

Chick-fil-A Robinson and Chick-fil-A Moon Township are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and operationally engaged leader to serve as our Regional Director of Marketing & Community Engagement.

This senior leadership position is responsible for developing, executing, and measuring the marketing and community engagement strategy for both restaurant locations. The Director will own restaurant marketing calendars, community partnerships, events, promotions, digital initiatives, and local store marketing efforts while ensuring that every initiative supports our restaurants' broader sales, guest experience, and community goals.

This is not a remote, office-based, or primarily computer-based marketing position. We believe effective restaurant marketing begins with understanding our operation, our guests, our Team Members, and the communities we serve. The Regional Director of Marketing & Community Engagement is expected to be consistently present and engaged inside both restaurants and actively involved in restaurant operations.

The right candidate is a self-starter who can take a goal from idea to execution, measure its effectiveness, communicate results to senior leadership, and continuously improve without requiring constant direction.

This role supports both Chick-fil-A Robinson and Chick-fil-A Moon Township, reports to senior restaurant leadership, and has direct access to the Operator.

Chick-fil-A Operational Immersion

Candidates with prior Chick-fil-A leadership experience may transition into full Regional Director responsibilities based on experience and readiness.

For external candidates who are new to Chick-fil-A, the position will begin with an approximately 3–6 month operational immersion and training period. During this time, you will work directly within restaurant operations to learn Chick-fil-A systems, standards, positions, culture, guest experience, and expectations from the ground up before assuming full Regional Director responsibilities.

This training period is an intentional part of our Director development process. Our marketing leaders must understand how our restaurants actually operate in order to create programs that are realistic, relevant, executable, and valuable to our guests and teams.

Director-level compensation and applicable benefits begin on your first day of employment and remain in effect throughout the training period. The length of the immersion period will vary based on prior experience, demonstrated proficiency, and readiness to assume full responsibility for the role.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations & Presence

  • Maintain a consistent and meaningful operational presence at both Chick-fil-A Robinson and Chick-fil-A Moon Township.
  • Work regularly within restaurant operations to maintain a firsthand understanding of our guests, Team Members, service channels, opportunities, and operational challenges.
  • Remain actively engaged with restaurant teams rather than performing the role primarily from a computer or office.
  • Work alongside restaurant leadership to understand current business needs and identify opportunities marketing can support.
  • Build credibility with restaurant teams through operational knowledge, visibility, relationships, and willingness to contribute.
  • Understand Chick-fil-A operational standards and ensure marketing initiatives complement rather than interfere with excellent restaurant execution.
  • Maintain flexibility to divide time between both restaurants based on business needs, events, opportunities, and leadership priorities.

Marketing Strategy & Calendar Ownership

  • Develop and own comprehensive marketing calendars for both restaurant locations.
  • Create annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing plans aligned with restaurant goals, sales opportunities, community needs, and Chick-fil-A initiatives.
  • Establish clear objectives, timelines, responsibilities, budgets, and measures of success for marketing initiatives.
  • Plan proactively rather than reactively, ensuring restaurant leadership has appropriate visibility into upcoming marketing activities.
  • Coordinate promotions, product launches, seasonal initiatives, digital campaigns, community activities, and local restaurant marketing efforts.
  • Adapt strategies appropriately for the different guests, communities, and business needs of Robinson and Moon Township.
  • Ensure initiatives are carried through from initial concept to execution, measurement, and follow-up.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute meaningful events that strengthen relationships between our restaurants, guests, and communities.
  • Maintain an in-restaurant presence for restaurant marketing events and activations, including evenings and weekends when events require it.
  • Take ownership of event execution from beginning to end, including planning, communication, staffing coordination, materials, setup, execution, and post-event evaluation.
  • Develop relationships with local schools, sports organizations, nonprofits, businesses, community organizations, and other appropriate partners.
  • Manage fundraising opportunities, Spirit Nights, family events, appreciation events, surprise-and-delight initiatives, and other community engagement programs.
  • Identify new opportunities for both restaurants to meaningfully participate in and support their local communities.
  • Ensure events reflect the quality, hospitality, organization, and professionalism expected of Chick-fil-A.

Marketing Execution & Accountability

  • Take ownership of assigned projects without requiring frequent reminders or follow-up from senior leadership.
  • Maintain clear systems for tracking marketing initiatives, deadlines, commitments, event details, budgets, and results.
  • Regularly review progress against established marketing goals.
  • Provide consistent updates and recaps to restaurant leadership regarding completed activities, upcoming priorities, results, challenges, and next steps.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events and campaigns rather than measuring success solely by whether an activity was completed.
  • Use available data to determine what is working, what should change, and where additional opportunities exist.
  • Follow through on projects from conception through completion and post-event analysis.
  • Proactively communicate when obstacles arise and bring potential solutions rather than waiting for direction.

Sales & Business Growth

  • Develop marketing strategies designed to support sales and transaction growth at both restaurants.
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to identify underperforming dayparts, service channels, or guest segments that could benefit from targeted marketing.
  • Collaborate with catering leadership to develop strategies that support catering awareness, lead generation, and sales growth.
  • Identify opportunities to increase restaurant awareness and strengthen guest frequency and loyalty.
  • Support appropriate digital and Chick-fil-A App initiatives.
  • Develop in-restaurant campaigns and promotions that are operationally executable and aligned with business objectives.
  • Measure the business impact of marketing initiatives whenever possible.

Brand & Media Compliance

  • Represent Chick-fil-A Robinson and Chick-fil-A Moon Township professionally and consistently in all public-facing communications and activities.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to all applicable Chick-fil-A brand, marketing, social media, photography, video, and media policies.
  • Ensure marketing materials and communications follow approved brand standards.
  • Obtain appropriate approvals before publishing, distributing, or communicating materials when required.
  • Protect confidential restaurant, Team Member, guest, and business information.
  • Exercise sound judgment when representing either restaurant publicly, digitally, or within the community.
  • Partner with senior leadership regarding media inquiries or situations requiring additional review or approval.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as the subject-matter leader for local restaurant marketing and community engagement across both locations.
  • Collaborate closely with Hospitality, Drive-Thru, Kitchen, Catering, and other restaurant leaders.
  • Communicate upcoming marketing activities early enough for restaurant leaders to appropriately plan staffing and operations.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning as appropriate.
  • Help restaurant leaders and Team Members understand the purpose behind major marketing initiatives and their role in successful execution.
  • Foster excitement and engagement around restaurant initiatives without losing sight of operational realities.
  • Build strong relationships across both restaurants while maintaining accountability for results.

Measures of Success

The Regional Director of Marketing & Community Engagement will be accountable for measurable improvement and sustained performance in areas including:

  • Successful execution of annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing calendars
  • On-time completion of marketing initiatives and commitments
  • Quality and execution of restaurant events
  • Event participation and guest engagement

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in marketing, restaurant leadership, event planning, community engagement, sales, hospitality, or a related field required.
  • Multi-unit or restaurant marketing experience strongly preferred.
