The Regional Director, Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the general operating maintenance and repair of communities in assigned region meets corporate standards and expectations. The Regional Director, Maintenance assists community leaders by evaluating and verifying that the community is operating in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner. The Regional Director, Maintenance position reports to the Vice President, Property Maintenance.
In this position, the main responsibilities include:
Visit all communities in assigned region on a scheduled basis to inspect community conditions and performance of the maintenance team members.
Ensure communities in assigned region are adhering to the SRC preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems. Provide high level recommendations and repairs on high level as needed.
Ensure communities in assigned region are adhering to rent ready policy and expectations.
Ensure the community is adhering to inventory management of all maintenance materials to include tools, equipment, and supplies and partner with VP, Property Management at employing cost-effective ways to ordering supplies and best value pricing.
Be on call at short notice to assist with communities’ emergencies, including but not limited to: snow removal, water intrusion, fire, building structure damage.
Review Emergency Preparedness Plans and make recommendations, as necessary.
Inspect completed work orders to ensure all are being completed with Corporate expectations.
Review weekly Manager, Maintenance reports to identify potential areas of concerns.
Be available to assist community maintenance team members on a regular basis, outside of normal scheduled hours.
To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license required.
A minimum of 5 years in a Property maintenance supervisory position with 3 year of multi-site experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge and certifications of building systems such as fire and life safety, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
HVAC certification preferred.
OSHA 30 preferred.
