POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Director of Health and Wellness (RDHW) helps create a joyful and vibrant community by providing clinical leadership and support to Fieldstone communities. This occurs through the implementation and standardization of clinical services, ensuring quality assurance, safety, and continuing education. The RDNS consistently demonstrates Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
This position requires frequent travel, visiting the communities several times a month, and availability via phone.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Serves as an advisor to communities relating to clinical policy, procedure, and program development.
• Works closely with the VP of Health and Wellness on implementation of clinical strategies standards. Oversees quality and safety standards for the organization.
• Approaches communities as a servant leader and helps set the tone for a joyful & vibrant environment; engages nursing staff, looks for ways to have fun and get to know team members, helping to balance daily challenges in order to create an environment of consistent, safe, quality care.
• In partnership with the VP of Health and Wellness, develops/coordinates clinical plans related to initial and ongoing competencies and education to address population-specific nursing care.
• Ensures quality resident care programs in accordance with all local, state, and federal guidelines and that support organizational mission, values, and goals.
• Conducts audits on a regular basis. Completes mock surveys in preparation for annual state survey.
• Possesses strong nursing and interpersonal skills with ability to implement policies and best practices at community level with clear expectations.
• Provides support during state surveys and community incident investigations.
• Builds and nurtures relationships with DSHS, APS, and other applicable agencies.
• Maintains clear role expectations for all clinical leaders. Provides onboarding, training, and support for Director of Nursing Services at the community level as needed. May assist in the hiring of DNS.
• Plans, prepares and maintains materials for use in educational programs for nursing staff. Identifies and evaluates instructional materials.
• Delivers competency-based programs for nursing leadership with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge.
• Serves as a resource on clinical issues and current trends in healthcare. Interprets, communicates, and incorporates clinical best practices into program planning.
• Fills out appropriate paperwork (i.e., site visit report) at each location after visit.
• Thinks creatively and makes recommendations to supervisor to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, systems, & culture.
• Point person for various nursing systems and EHR.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS
• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license and license in good standing.
• Five to ten years of clinical experience in Long Term Care.
Actual pay rate will be calculated based on relevant years of experience and education/certification requirements.
