Osborn Engineering is seeking a Regional Director with 20+ Years’ experience for our Michigan Region Facilities Group who will report to the Great Lakes Division Leader for the Firm. The ideal candidate would have a strong background of regional leadership in the AEC consulting environment focused on team development, business opportunity development, as well as business operations experience for the continued success of our Michigan Facilities team

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Region for the Facilities team and can develop relationships across market sectors to position Osborn as the preferred and trusted choice for clients and employees.
  • Develops Regional growth, forecast, strategic initiatives, performance oversight and business development strategy in collaboration with market sector leaders and practice areas.
  • Informs the strategic direction of the Region and positions it for sustained growth consistent within the intentions of the overall company strategic plan.
  • Maintains relationships with top clients in the Region, leads the strategy and implementation to maximize Osborn’s value proposition to clients.
  • Collaborate with Osborn Division Leaders, Office Managers, and Directors to grow and sustain an integrated practice. Promote a culture of “One Osborn”
  • Ensures Osborn’s presence in the Region is maintained at the highest regard through quality project performance and client management as well as community involvement.
  • Responsible for key performance indicators in the region including project performance. Project profitability within the Region as well as regional staff utilization and backlog monitoring.
  • Attracting and recruiting talent
  • Utilize Osborn’s national resources across business lines, practice areas, offices, and the region to deliver a one Osborn approach to clients.
  • Builds the best teams to maximize productivity including bringing in technical expertise as applicable to solve client challenges.
  • Strategic recruitment and performance management focused on the employee experience
  • Emphasizes employee training and development to promote career growth.
  • Overseeing, optimizing, tracking, and reporting on overall performance of the Facilities team within the Region including project effective multiplier, utilization, bad debt management, realization, and indirect costs/overhead.
  • Ensuring the quality of proposals and technical work produced within the Region.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 20+ Years of experience in the A/E/C Industry with an understanding of market sectors and practice areas involved.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters.

  • PE or SE License preferred with Reciprocity ability.

  • Leadership experience with successful business acumen history.

  • Excellent Organizational and Communication skills.

  • Proactive and Collaborative team motivator.
