Regional Director of Clinical Reimbursement (MDS)

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 Annual Salary

A growing regional skilled nursing and post-acute operator is looking for a Regional Director of Clinical Reimbursement to lead the MDS and clinical reimbursement function across a portfolio of skilled nursing facilities. Position Description

You will lead the resident assessment and clinical reimbursement program across multiple buildings, driving MDS 3.0 accuracy, PDPM optimization, case mix and audit readiness. You will coach and develop building level MDS coordinators, standardize the assessment process, and partner with clinical and finance leadership on reimbursement outcomes. This is a regional leadership role with travel across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Several years of MDS 3.0 and RAI experience in skilled nursing, with multi-facility or regional oversight
• Deep working knowledge of PDPM, case mix and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement
• Experience training and auditing building level MDS coordinators
• Willing to travel across a regional portfolio

Responsibilities

• Lead MDS accuracy, PDPM optimization and case mix across the region
• Audit assessments and documentation for accuracy and reimbursement support
• Train, mentor and standardize building level MDS coordinators
• Support triple check, denials and audit readiness
• Partner with clinical and finance leadership on reimbursement outcomes
