Job Description

We are seeking a commercially focused Regional Director, Food- ASEAN to lead and grow NSF’s Food business across ASEAN Markets, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and other key markets. The role will own regional P&L performance, growth strategy, and team leadership for the Food division, ensuring delivery against regional and global targets while managing key client relationships and cross-functional pipeline work.

This role requires a balance of technical market understanding and commercial leadership, with a focus on strengthening client relationships, building proactive sales capability, and activating new programs and services across key ASEAN markets.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and accelerate NSF’s Food business across one of the world's fastest-growing regions, leading strategy, commercial execution, and customer engagement at regional scale. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth, strengthening strategic customer partnerships, and expanding NSF’s market presence across ASEAN.

Reporting Relationship:

This position reports directly to the APAC Managing Director and serves as a member of the APAC Leadership Team.

The role will have direct leadership responsibility for ASEAN Food commercial and business leaders across the region.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Leadership:

  • Own the ASEAN Food business unit’s revenue, growth, and profitability targets across all sub-regions.
  • Develop and execute regional Food growth strategy aligned with global Food business unit priorities.
  • Lead the sales team and build and execute the go-to-market strategy.
  • Build executive-level relationships with key multinational, regional, and local food industry customers across ASEAN.
  • Drive market expansion, strategic account penetration, service innovation, and inorganic growth opportunities where appropriate.

Pipeline and Client Management:

  • Manage the ASEAN Food pipeline.
  • Maintain and grow major strategic accounts.
  • Represent ASEAN Food interests in global strategic planning reviews.

Reporting and Performance Management:

  • Prepare and present regular business performance reviews (monthly/quarterly) to senior leadership.
  • Track and report against AOP (Annual Operating Plan) targets, escalating shortfalls with recovery plans.
  • Provide input into global Food business planning cycles.

Leadership:

  • Manage direct reports leading Food across sub-regions.
  • Drive accountability through regular sales performance reviews and month-by-month attainment tracking.
  • Lead by example by exhibiting NSF Values. Serve as a strong motivator and leader for team members while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with regional leadership on shared client accounts and consolidated ASEAN reporting.
  • Coordinate with the global Food team on related strategic and operational matters.
  • Represent ASEAN-specific operational needs (e.g., systems, tools, and processes) relevant to Food commercial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in commercial and sales leadership within the food industry, food safety, food certification, TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification), or related B2B service sectors.
  • Demonstrated P&L accountability with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving profitability, and delivering successful business development initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams while building long-term client relationships and influencing stakeholders within a matrix organization.
  • Successful track record of identifying market opportunities, developing growth strategies, and launching new service offerings.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities, with experience managing geographically dispersed and multi-market teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English.
