
Regional Director, CAPEX - Decatur, IL
The Director, Capital Projects Execution & Delivery is a senior leader and thought partner responsible for providing strategic and operational oversight across the full capital project lifecycle—from concept development and front-end planning (FEP) through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
This role has end-to-end accountability for the successful execution of a capital portfolio exceeding $500M annually. The Director leads large-scale, complex capital projects to ensure safe, predictable, and cost-effective delivery aligned with corporate strategy and operational objectives.
Operating in a key leadership role within the Asset Management, Engineering & Projects (AMEP) organization, this position will report to the Vice President -AMEP and will drive disciplined execution, rigorous risk management, and continuous improvement in capital delivery performance across North America.
Core Areas of Focus
Ensure capital projects are developed, structured, and executed in alignment with ADM engineering standards, FEL processes, and capital governance frameworks. Drive optimal project delivery models and contracting strategies based on risk profile, organizational capability, and operational requirements to maximize capital efficiency.
Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing the highest safety standards across all project activities. Drive contractor performance excellence by embedding safety, quality, and operational discipline into all phases of project execution.
Strengthen cross-functional project delivery capabilities by fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. Develop project managers and project engineers in alignment with the PMO competency framework and implement standardized tools, processes, and practices to improve execution consistency and outcomes.
Maintain accountability for overall project delivery performance. Partner with the Project Governance & Assurance team to establish and monitor clear performance metrics and KPIs, enabling proactive project controls and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$139,200.00 - $250,000.00
The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
