Job Description

RH is seeking a Regional Director, Sales & Business Development is responsible for leading a regionally-based sales team focused on developing a portfolio of business (from foundational to strategic, direct to indirect) across the Hospitality, Commercial and Residential Developer segments. The ideal candidate will have proven team leadership and sales development experience and a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality, commercial, or residential development space.

This is a remote role based in either Europe or the United Kingdom.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an annual business development plan for your region, identifying the right customers and projects to target to elevate our brand, achieve our quarterly and annual revenue margin goals, and do work we’re proud of – a portfolio of both foundational customers/business and more strategic, longer-term customers, ecosystems and projects
  • Lead your regional sales team to develop the right customer relationships while staying focused on priorities to deliver our quarterly and annual revenue and margin goals
  • The ideal candidate will have proven team leadership and sales development experience and a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality, commercial, or residential development space.
  • Identify, develop and close major deals with the most strategic owners/developers directly or indirectly via their ecosystem of partners
  • Mentor your team to actively lead customer relationships through the full project life-cycle for all projects, from specification to delivery, helping to guide customers to solutions that we can best supply to meet their specific project needs
  • Represent RH Contract at industry events to identify opportunities before others do, develop strategic relationships and educate target potential customers about our unique offer
  • Partner with our other Regional Directors and Strategic Business Leaders, Operations, Design, and Sourcing Leaders to ensure projects are fully integrated and teams are working collaboratively at the highest level
  • Partner with Directors, Sales Operations to provide timely and accurate sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for your region and team
  • Collaborate with our International sales team to help identify, develop, and close opportunities with our current and new strategic customers working on projects globally


OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience to developers and owners in the luxury Hospitality, Commercial and/or Residential Development segment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business- or interior design-related field preferred
  • Proven direct owner and/or developer relationships with key stake holders and decision makers involved in the specification, approval and purchasing process of FF&E scope
  • Strong understanding of Hospitality, Commercial and/or Residential property development and renovation dynamics (time required, magnitude of costs involved, etc.) and the different mindsets involved in evaluating new-build and conversion projects and the ecosystem that works on these projects
  • Highly motivated self-starter who performs consistently in a fast-paced environment with excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert sales and negotiating skills, confident and effective in leading presentations to senior level stakeholders/decision makers
  • Highly skilled in sales growth planning and in providing accurate sales forecasts for project -based business
  • Proficient in multiple systems and spreadsheets, i.e. CRM/Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google applications
  • Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the country in which they are applying at the time of application
  • Proficiency in English is required due to the international nature of our business and the need to communicate with global teams


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent travel for strategic customer and project needs
