Job Description

What You'll Do

Lead Digital Smart Factory Deployments

  • Serve as the MDS functional lead for DSF rollouts in the MEU region, ensuring governance and best practices are maintained throughout deployment
  • Drive discussions with plant stakeholders, challenging approaches constructively while maintaining collaborative relationships
  • Manage escalations and pushbacks from plants, ensuring alignment with global standards and strategic direction
  • Act as the primary focal point for MDS during complex deployments, coordinating across multiple workstreams

Collaborate Across the Global Organization

  • Partner with Manufacturing business process leads, engineering teams, and the global MDS Manufacturing team to identify, select, design, and develop IoT applications
  • Work closely with MEU regional teams, global engineering, global MDS, and global manufacturing stakeholders
  • Facilitate seamless integration of IoT platform across our global operations
  • Coordinate with various functional teams to ensure successful implementation of digital solutions

Drive Functional Excellence with Technical Understanding

  • Lead the functional side of IoT application implementations while understanding technical discussions and architecture
  • Utilize knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems to guide agile DevOps processes
  • Own and govern application backlogs for new and existing IoT applications within DevOps frameworks
  • Bridge business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring alignment between plant needs and technical capabilities

Manage Projects and Deliver Results

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills to coordinate multiple concurrent projects and workstreams running in parallel
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget, managing dependencies and risks proactively
  • Track progress, identify blockers, and drive resolution across global teams
  • Ensure successful deployment of custom IoT solutions aligned with our digital strategy

What You'll Need to Succeed

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Degree-level qualification
  • 4-5 years of experience in manufacturing processes and systems (CPG preferred)
  • Previous experience in functional roles with demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts
  • Experience in plant operations, process engineering, or manufacturing IT

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understanding of IoT architecture and technical solutions
  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure platform integration services with applications and automation
  • Exposure to or knowledge of SAP ECC/S4H Manufacturing modules (PP/PI, QM, WM, IM, PM)
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions and understand architectural implications (no hands-on development required)

Project Management & Leadership:

  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage concurrent IT projects
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and managing dependencies
  • Track record of driving initiatives proactively, not just responding to requests

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) - MUST HAVE
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and drive discussions with business stakeholders
  • Experience challenging approaches constructively and managing escalations
  • Proven ability to work effectively with global teams across time zones
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to influence without authority

  • Knowledge of quality processes in manufacturing (starting scope focus)
  • Previous experience working in global matrix organizations
  • Familiarity with agile DevOps methodologies
