Job Category: FacilitiesPURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Regional Custodian is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of multiple locations within a designated region. This role includes managing a team of custodians, ensuring that all stores are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality. The Regional Custodian will perform routine inspections, coordinate maintenance tasks, and provide support to store custodians. This position requires on-site presence as needed and participation in an on-call rotation to address urgent issues.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Team Management:
- Supervise and provide directions to Regional Custodial Staff.
- Schedule and coordinate custodial staff to ensure coverage across all stores.
- Conduct training sessions for custodial staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.
- Evaluate performance and provide feedback to custodial staff.
- Collaborate with other Regional Custodian and Sr. Director, Capital and Technology, to ensure consistently applied standards across all locations.
Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Ensure all stores are maintained to CommunityAid’s excepted SOP for cleanliness.
- Conduct routine inspections of stores to ensure compliance with cleaning protocols.
- Address any sanitation issues
Maintenance Tasks:
- Assist with other basic maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Coordinate with Facilities Coordinator for more complex maintenance tasks as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and complete a maintenance request.
On-Call Rotation and On-Site Presence:
- Be available to assist with any after-hour cleaning needs as required.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
General Duties:
- Ensure the store is always clean and presentable.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues and complete a maintenance request.
- Assist with the set up and/or dismantling of displays and fixtures as needed.
- Support store operations by performing additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
- Maintain confidentiality in all interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance roles preferred.
- 2 Years in a Supervisory or Managerial role required.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks and repair techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must be fit for physical duty and pass a DMV and background check.
- Must have and maintain a valid state issued driver’s license for length of employment
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures
- Must be able to travel between all CommunityAid locations
