
This position is responsible for serving as liaison between the Bank and the community to develop and administer local CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) Programs to meet the specific credit and banking needs of the low-to-moderate income population in the community. Assists Corporate CRA staff in meeting a variety of regulatory requirements and with the bi-annual CRA exam.
The position represents the Bank in the various regional communities and represents the Bank’s commitment to the community.
The position seeks to have an understanding of the community to develop an effective CRA program.
The position develops strong ties with government officials, directors of non-profit organizations and leaders of other community-based organizations to raise the profile of the Bank and develop and expand CRA-related relationships and program opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ proven CRA community development, customer-facing banking and/or non-profit experience,
OR in lieu of a degree,
A combined minimum 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience including a minimum of 3 years’ proven CRA community development, customer-facing banking and/or non-profit experience.
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
Strong negotiations skills.
Detail-oriented.
Experience with the community development non-profit world, either through direct work experience or other volunteer participation.
Understanding of the interactions among the government, community development non-profit organizations and local business.
Prior banking experience, with experience in commercial and consumer lending.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and/or governmental reporting requirements and processes
