The Team

The Tasmanian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service is a statewide service supporting children, young people and their families across Tasmania. Our multidisciplinary team includes medical, nursing, allied health and administrative staff who work collaboratively to deliver coordinated, family-centred care.

The service provides inpatient, ambulatory and outpatient care, working closely with paediatric specialties, primary care providers, community services, schools and external agencies to ensure children and families receive integrated, high-quality rehabilitation support.

We are seeking a Regional Coordinator to support the delivery and coordination of paediatric rehabilitation services across the North and Northwest regions of Tasmania. The position will be based in the North and/or North West, with the primary work location to be determined in consultation with the successful applicant and service requirements. The role will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and regional partners to support accessible, coordinated and family-centred rehabilitation care.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Coordinator to support the development and delivery of paediatric rehabilitation services across Tasmania’s North and North West regions.

Working under the broad direction of the Statewide Clinical Lead and Head of Paediatric Rehabilitation, the Regional Coordinator will:

• Provide regional leadership in the development and staged implementation of the Tasmanian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service Model of Care.
• Support the delivery of coordinated, evidence-based and family-centred rehabilitation services across the North and North West.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and regional partners to identify service priorities, strengthen pathways and improve access to care.
• Provide specialist advice and act as a key point of contact for families, clinicians, referrers, managers, community services and other stakeholders.
• Support the recruitment, development and coordination of regional allied health teams, fostering a collaborative and connected workforce.
• Promote effective communication and partnerships across hospital, community, education and external service settings.
• Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, workforce development and initiatives that enhance outcomes for children and young people.
• Support innovation and the consistent application of clinical standards and best-practice principles within an interdisciplinary model of care.

You Will Need

• Demonstrated high-level knowledge, clinical experience, and skills in the delivery and/or coordination of paediatric rehabilitation care and/or related clinical practice areas within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Demonstrated behaviour in alignment with the principle of child-and family-centred care and the TPRS vision, mission, and values together with the ability to contribute to service review and development, performance monitoring and evaluation strategies.
• Excellent leadership, change management, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and a proven ability to be influential and credible to a range of senior professionals and consumers to effectively lead change.

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$131,122 to $138,984 per annum (Pro-Rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025

Salary Packaging

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Allowances

• Please note that access to salaries beyond $135,445 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

• Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association
• Current Working with Children Registration

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

• Postgraduate studies in relevant clinical area/s, public health, health service leadership or research experience
• Current Driver’s Licence
