Your Role

As a Regional Compliance Manager EMEA (m/f/d) you will have the responsibility for Brenntag’s group Compliance program in the EMEA region. In close cooperation with Brenntag’s corporate Compliance team located in Essen, you will work to further develop processes, policies, and procedures to ensure that Brenntag’s Compliance program throughout the regional organization is effective. This also extends to further developing Brenntag’s positive Compliance culture throughout the region

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business functions across the EMEA region to integrate Compliance requirements into day-to-day business processes and operations

  • Provide practical, business-oriented advice on Compliance matters and support stakeholders in identifying appropriate solutions

  • Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the Compliance Management System (CMS) to ensure its effectiveness and continuous improvement

  • Drive and support initiatives that promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and Compliance throughout the region

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Compliance processes and controls to identify, assess, and mitigate Compliance risks

  • Coordinate the regional whistleblowing process, including case intake, tracking, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution

  • Prepare regular Compliance reports, metrics, and updates for the Regional Leadership Team and Group Compliance at the German headquarter

  • Increase Compliance awareness by developing communication initiatives and promoting understanding of Company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments across the EMEA region and support the implementation of required policy and process updates

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver Compliance training and awareness sessions for employees across the region

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Compliance, legal, audit, or risk management

  • Master of Law / Business degree preferred, unless equivalent experience is demonstrated. Relevant Compliance certifications are an advantage

  • Deep understanding of how to analyze regulations and further develop and implement processes, policies, and trainings

  • High-motivation and ability to further develop, manage, and successfully lead project within a complex stakeholder environment

  • Ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and deadlines as part of an international team

  • High service-orientation, reliability, and with excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to innovate

  • Strong communication skills in English with the ability to effectively convey the company's core ethical values at all levels of the company. Knowledge of German or additional languages are an advantage.
