Job Description

Company Overview

Hamilton Medical was founded in 1983 with a clear mission: to enhance the lives of patients on respirators and support the caregivers who serve them. Our focus is on developing ventilation technologies that prioritize safety, effectiveness, and lung protection. We are dedicated to easing the burden on healthcare professionals who work tirelessly every day, helping critically ill patients recover and regain their health. We are committed to helping medical teams deliver the best respiratory care ‑ to anyone, anywhere.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) supports Hamilton Medical, Inc.'s clinical education, customer support, and clinical application efforts throughout the West Region. Strategically based in the greater Los Angeles area, this position serves as a flexible regional clinical resource with California as its primary area of support and travel.

The CAS partners with the Clinical Operations Manager, Regional Sales Director, Hamilton Medical teams, commercial partners, customers, and clinicians to advance successful implementation, education, utilization, and ongoing clinical application of Hamilton Medical products and technologies.

Success in this role requires clinical credibility, adaptability, strong communication, independent judgment, and a customer-focused approach. The CAS helps strengthen clinical proficiency, technology adoption, and customer success through high-quality education and application support.

Primary Travel Expectations

This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel. California is the primary travel geography, with regular travel throughout the state based on customer and operational needs. Travel to other West Region territories is also required as regional business and clinical priorities dictate. Overnight travel and schedule flexibility should be expected. The greater Los Angeles area serves as the strategic home base and does not define a geographically limited service territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Hamilton Medical and its products accurately, professionally, and consistently in the marketplace.
  • Serve as a flexible clinical resource, with California as the primary area of deployment and additional support throughout the West Region based on customer needs, business priorities, and direction from the Clinical Operations Manager.
  • Assess customer education and clinical application needs; plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-service education, continuing education, and other clinical programs.
  • Support implementation and clinical adoption of Hamilton Medical products and technologies through education, application support, and customer engagement.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for customers, clinicians, sales personnel, service personnel, and other internal and external partners.
  • Provide clinical and technical application support to Hamilton Medical sales and service teams.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and cross-functional partners on strategic accounts, customer initiatives, product implementations, and regional priorities.
  • Provide responsive support for high-priority, increased-demand, and short-term clinical needs across assigned markets and the broader West Region.
  • Work independently with initiative while maintaining effective communication, alignment, and responsible use of company resources.
  • Support key account seminars, presentations, educational programs, trade shows, company meetings, and other clinical or commercial initiatives as required.
  • Identify relevant competitive and market insights and communicate them to appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain required documentation and comply with Hamilton Medical policies, procedures, training requirements, and applicable regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of respiratory care, mechanical ventilation, and the clinical application of Hamilton Medical equipment and services.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex clinical and technical concepts into practical bedside application for clinicians with varying levels of experience.
  • Ability to establish credibility and productive working relationships with respiratory therapists, nurses, physicians, hospital leadership, customers, and internal business partners.
  • Demonstrated adaptability in managing changing priorities, geographic assignments, customer requirements, and diverse clinical environments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a regional team structure.
  • Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with standard business technology and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical and mechanical aptitude sufficient to support setup, installation, demonstration, and clinical application of Hamilton Medical products.

Education/Experience

  • Minimum of five years of critical care experience in Respiratory Care required; NICU/PICU experience preferred.
  • Clinical education, in-service education, clinical applications, or comparable customer-facing clinical support experience preferred.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and applicable Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure or credentials required.
  • Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must meet applicable requirements for clinical access to customer healthcare facilities.
  • Must be able to meet the travel requirements of the position throughout California and the broader West Region.
