Chemours is seeking a Regional Buyer to join our team. This position will be available at our Corpus Christi, TX location.

The Regional Buyer is the primary procurement execution partner for assigned operating sites and serves as the “voice of the customer” within the Procurement organization. This role manages day-to-day purchasing execution, coordinates with suppliers, and supports category strategies to ensure continuity of supply, commercial compliance, and timely sourcing support for site and category stakeholders.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support site procurement strategies aligned with business and category objectives.

  • Execute sourcing events, including RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection,

  • contract implementation, and procurement documentation.

  • Drive cost savings, TCO initiatives, and working capital improvements through strategic sourcing.

  • Partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Planning teams to support procurement needs and ensure material availability.

  • Manage supplier relationships, onboarding, performance, and compliance with procurement policies.

  • Monitor supplier performance, identify supply risks, and escalate commercial issues as needed.

  • Analyze spend data to identify sourcing opportunities and support procurement decision-making.

  • Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives focused on strategic sourcing and continuous improvement.

Key Competencies

  • Procurement & Strategic Sourcing: Experience with RFQs/RFPs, contract negotiations, category management, and supplier selection.

  • Supplier Management: Build supplier partnerships, monitor performance, resolve issues, and mitigate supply risks.

  • Negotiation: Drive cost savings while balancing quality, service, and delivery.

  • Operational Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and critical material needs.

  • Supply Chain & Systems: Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred), forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment.

  • Analytical Skills: Leverage spend analysis, TCO principles, and data to identify savings opportunities.

  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements while managing supplier risk.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships across functions, communicate effectively, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Problem Solving & Agility: Respond quickly to supply disruptions and implement practical, business-focused solutions.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)

  • 3 plus years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or a related commercial role supporting manufacturing or operations

  • Experience supporting multiple sites or regional operations

  • Experience in working with category management, contract administration, and supplier performance management

  • Demonstrated experience working in an manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency with personal computers and the MS Office Suite (including Power BI); advanced Excel skills preferred

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Demonstrated leadership potential

  • Experience with Ariba and SAP

  • Strong communication skills, including planning, active listening, and negotiation

  • Ability to support change management and continuous improvement

  • Resourceful, with the ability to make sound commercial decisions under pressure using relevant evidence and good judgment

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management; strong cross-functional collaboration and a team-player mindset

Pay Range (in local currency):

$90,091.00 - $140,767.00

Annual Bonus Target:

6%

The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
