Job Description

Are you an experienced agricultural sales professional who knows how to build trusted relationships with livestock producers? Trans Ova Genetics is seeking a Regional Business Manager to grow and support our business across Kansas and Missouri. This role will primarily serve cow-calf producers and seedstock and commercial beef operations, while also supporting dairy customers within the territory.

As a Regional Business Manager, you will combine consultative sales, technical knowledge, and strong customer service to help producers make informed decisions about their genetic and reproductive programs. You will be responsible for retaining key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and becoming a valued resource at the customer’s decision-making table. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently in the field while collaborating with sales, operations, client services, marketing, and technical experts across the organization.

This is a remote, field-based position serving Kansas and Missouri, with candidates able to reside anywhere within either state.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, prospective customers, veterinarians, breed associations, universities, and other industry partners.
  • Promote and sell Trans Ova Genetics services and products while providing consultative solutions aligned with each customer’s production and genetic goals.
  • Retain existing business while identifying, qualifying, and developing new sales opportunities throughout Kansas and Missouri.
  • Create and execute strategic account plans using market information, performance metrics, growth potential, and defined customer engagement strategies.
  • Coordinate with Client Service Representatives, regional operations, marketing, sales leadership, and technical teams to deliver a consistent customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, customer, activity, and follow-up information within the company’s customer relationship management system.
  • Conduct customer and partner reviews to assess performance, identify opportunities, and support continued account growth.
  • Deliver presentations, educational sessions, and customer conversations that clearly communicate the value of embryo technologies and reproductive services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, agricultural business, business, a scientific discipline, or a related field.
  • At least two years of full-time sales or marketing experience, preferably within animal agriculture, animal health, livestock genetics, or a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of the bovine industry, livestock production, and the business considerations affecting beef or dairy producers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships, develop new business, and consistently follow through during longer sales cycles.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-based sales environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; previous CRM experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively, approximately 70 to 75%, including regular overnight travel.
