Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership & Business Growth


  • Lead the overall

    strategic direction and development

    of the business unit across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.


  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize

    new business opportunities

    , driving expansion into new markets, products, and ventures.


  • Develop and implement

    sales, product, and market strategies

    to achieve revenue growth, profitability, and productivity targets.


Business Development & Key Account Management


  • Drive

    regional business development initiatives

    , including market expansion and new customer acquisition.


  • Manage and grow

    global and regional key accounts

    , ensuring strong customer relationships and long-term business sustainability.


  • Lead

    commercial negotiations

    on pricing, contracts, and key terms, balancing risk and profitability.


Stakeholder & Partnership Management


  • Build and maintain

    strategic partnerships

    with suppliers, industry players, and key stakeholders to support business growth.


  • Represent the business unit in

    industry associations, exhibitions, and conferences

    , enhancing market presence and brand positioning.


  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure alignment on

    PR, commercial, and strategic initiatives

    .


Operational & Performance Management


  • Drive continuous

    performance optimization

    of the business unit in collaboration with local and global stakeholders.


  • Oversee procurement alignment to ensure

    cost-effective sourcing of raw materials

    and efficient approval processes.


  • Monitor and manage

    sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics

    , ensuring targets are met.


  • Prepare and present

    monthly and quarterly business reports

    to senior management and relevant committees.


Technical, R&D & Innovation Oversight


  • Support and approve

    investments in R&D, laboratory capabilities, and application technologies

    in collaboration with global and regional teams.


  • Ensure alignment between

    technical, commercial, and innovation strategies

    to support product development and market competitiveness.


People Leadership & Compliance


  • Lead, coach, and develop a

    high-performing regional team

  • Ensure compliance with

    HSE, quality, and regulatory standards

    (e.g. ISO, HACCP, HALAL, RSPO), maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Job Requirements


Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

    Polymer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry

    , or a related discipline; an

    MBA is an added advantage

    .


  • Minimum 10-15

    years of regional leadership experience

    , managing a business unit within the

    chemical or polymer additives industry

    .


  • Proven experience working within

    MNC or SME environments

    , with exposure to regional markets.
