The Regional Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a defined territory of healthcare facility clients by developing new business, strengthening existing relationships, and delivering consultative workforce solutions. This role focuses on building a book of business from the ground up, identifying new opportunities, and driving revenue growth through strategic client partnerships. The Account Manager partners closely with internal teams to source, place, and support clinicians, ensuring successful delivery and long-term client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management & Strategy

  • Build and maintain consultative relationships with healthcare facility contacts to identify staffing needs, forecast demand, and improve fill rates.
  • Partner with clients to understand hiring timelines, decision‑making processes, and workforce challenges across nursing and allied specialties.
  • Provide proactive staffing solutions to address cross‑departmental workforce gaps and high‑priority needs.
  • Collaborate with Regional Director, Business Development to support strategic account growth, including facility expansions and service line changes.

Order Management & Fulfillment

  • Manage open job orders by maintaining ongoing communication with clients regarding candidate supply, submission status, placements, and contract timelines.
  • Promote job orders to Recruiters through detailed order information, targeted outreach, and order alerts to drive candidate engagement and submissions.
  • Partner with Recruiters to align candidate qualifications (licensure, clinical skills, availability) with client requirements to improve submission‑to‑fill ratios.

Business Development & Territory Growth

  • Proactively research and monitor facility expansions, new service lines, system conversions, and market changes within the assigned territory to identify growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a target account list prioritizing high-value prospects and underpenetrated clients.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders and decision-makers to generate new business opportunities and expand existing partnerships.
  • Gather critical intelligence, including timelines, budget cycles, hiring trends, competitive landscape, and decision-making processes to inform territory strategy.
  • Leverage market insights to develop and execute targeted outreach plans, including cold outreach, on-site visits, and strategic introductions.
  • Partner with leadership to align on territory growth plans, pipeline development, and revenue targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 4–7 years of relevant experience in account management, staffing, recruiting, or client‑facing roles
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using CRM systems, ATS, or vendor management systems (VMS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare staffing, travel nursing, or allied staffing
  • Experience working with vendor management systems (VMS) for job orders and submissions
  • Experience partnering with recruiters on candidate submission and placement processes
  • Exposure to workforce planning, staffing strategy, or healthcare operations

Pay Rate

$23.00 - $28.50 Hourly

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.

This position may include additional compensation such as bonus or commission. Please ask your recruiter for more information.
