Our nationwide Tanker Services division delivers a wide range of waste management and environmental services, supporting everyone from small portable toilet operations through to major industrial and infrastructure projects, including septic tanks and large-scale liquid waste solutions. With customers located across the UK, no two days are ever the same.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and professional HGV Driver looking to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced and growing business.
As a Regional Tanker Driver, you will play a key role in supporting operations across your region. Working from your home depot, you will travel where additional support is required, including covering sickness, holidays, peak demand periods, and specialist projects. The role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple sites and customer environments.
You will be responsible for the safe removal of liquid waste from customer sites and the delivery of non-potable water, ensuring all work is completed in line with environmental legislation, company procedures, and Health & Safety standards. In addition, you will support and mentor existing Tanker Drivers, sharing best practice and helping maintain the highest operational standards across the business.
This is a highly rewarding position for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and thrives in an operational environment where adaptability and problem-solving are essential.
As this role provides regional support, you will be supplied with a company vehicle and fuel card. There will also be occasions where overnight stays are required when working in more remote locations.
Applicants applying for the role of Regional Tanker Driver should have/be:
• Significant experience working within an HGV driving role
• Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed, and a valid Digital Tachograph card
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and the ability to work safely and compliantly at all times
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A flexible and proactive approach, with a willingness to support multiple depots and operational teams across the region.

GAP’s ten divisions comprise Plant Hire, Tool Hire, Lifting & TIC, Non-Mechanical, Trenching & Shoring, Survey & Safety Hire, Pump Services, Welfare Services, Tanker Services & Event Services. GAP also offers our customers additional services such as their Test, Inspect and Certify (TIC) service where our engineers test and inspect all lifting equipment to ensure compliance and safety, even if it has not been hired from GAP. Additionally, through their GAP one facility, a specialised team offers bespoke managed services suited to individual customer needs.
GAP was established in 1969 by Gordon Anderson and the company is still family-owned and run by his sons Douglas and Iain.
