What’s the role

Shell’s Products Trading business is transforming its Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) ecosystem by implementing efficient, market-leading solutions and processes across the Life of a Deal (LoaD). As a Regulatory Reporting Product Owner, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of this transformation, leading the deployment of Openlink Endur to replace legacy infrastructure, supported by several complementary initiatives across the broader systems and process landscape.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the Regulatory Reporting product within the Chloe programme, ensuring the solutions delivered are fit for purpose and provide the capabilities needed to meet regulatory reporting obligations covering EMIR (EU/UK, MAS (SG), REMIT EU & ASIC (AU) across T&S.

• Provide thought leadership on Regulatory Reporting, helping shape Chloe’s design and delivery to support an ambitious vision that drives value across the business, including commercial opportunity development, operational excellence, analytics, and business control.

• Ensure the Regulatory Reporting team, Regulatory Compliance team, and other relevant teams provide clear business requirements to the project teams implementing the refreshed ETRM estate through the Chloe programme.

• Ensure the Regulatory Reporting team has robust migration plans in place to manage the changes required by the evolving ETRM estate.

• Establish appropriate governance and provide status reporting to key stakeholders, including the Regulatory Reporting Manager, the Head of Integrated Process Risk and Control, and the quarterly Regulatory Reporting Steerco.

• Act as the main interface between the Regulatory Reporting team, the Chloe programme team, and other Chloe Product Owners (for example Front Office, Risk, Confirmations and Settlements).

• Identify functional, technical, data, and process opportunities arising from the Chloe implementation to embed best practices within the Regulatory Reporting team.

• Review, redesign, and optimise the processes that support Regulatory Reporting, leveraging and influencing solutions delivered through the Chloe programme.

• Accelerate digitalisation and automation to improve information flow across the business and reduce manual activity.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by constructively challenging established processes and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate local and global operations, shared processes, and interfaces.

What you bring

Competencies

• Deep expertise in Regulatory Reporting (EMIR/REMIT/MAS), with strong knowledge of activities across the LoaD, including Operations and Compliance. Able to define, communicate, test, and assure requirements throughout Chloe’s shaping, planning, build, and deployment phases.

• Regulatory Reporting specialist, with strong data and technical skills is preferred

• Experience delivering regulatory change within the DEX ETRM would be a strong advantage.

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across formats and with stakeholders in different countries.

• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable working in fast-moving, complex, and highly interdependent matrix environments, with the ability to create clarity and structure.

• Able to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely, while understanding the perspectives and experiences of others.

Requirements

• A degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or IT is preferred; other degrees will be considered where supported by relevant experience in the energy trading industry. Advanced degrees are an advantage.

• Substantial experience in a Regulatory Reporting environment, including strong knowledge of EMIR, REMIT and MAS business processes, policies, procedures, and controls

• Strong understanding of Derivatives and Physical transaction in Energy Market is a must have.

• Broad knowledge of the basic and complex products traded across the global Products business, including the underlying economics, pricing mechanisms, and how related data is used for reporting.

• Ability to shape, articulate, and drive a strategic vision through to delivery, working with programme teams and leaders to define credible and pragmatic deployment plans.

• Ability to embed change into the business so programme outcomes are sustained, using strong leadership, influence, training, persuasion, and communication. Able to leverage the Ada programme team to support these activities.

• Strong track record of leading and advising on the implementation of new processes against tight deadlines.

• Reliable, disciplined, and highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and a reputation as a trusted business partner.

• Resilient under pressure, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet key deadlines.

• Sound judgement to advise, challenge discrepancies, and escalate issues when needed.

• The role requires attendance in the London office at least three days per week.
