Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming in readiness for painting or finishing.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment as appropriate.
• Ensure that all painted surfaces meet quality standards in terms of coverage, color, and finish.
• Conduct inspections and touch-ups to maintain the integrity and appearance of painted surfaces.
• Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to client specifications.
• Document work progress and materials used for reporting and inventory control.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Refurbishment Painter or similar role in painting and decorating.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint application methods.
• Familiarity with different types of paints, coatings, and finishes.
• Ability to work with precision and attention to detail to achieve high-quality results.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle manual painting tasks.
• Awareness of safety standards and willingness to comply with all regulations.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
