We are currently seeking a motivated Refrigeration HVAC Technician to join our team, supporting both site management and the mobile maintenance team across our Rouse Hill and Roseville operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, this is a hands-on, customer-focused role responsible for the maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, testing, commissioning, and certification of HVAC and chilled water systems in accordance with specifications and standards.

You will work across a broad range of HVAC activities, including commercial and industrial maintenance and installation as required.

This role places a strong emphasis on safety, technical excellence, and customer service, and includes administrative responsibilities to ensure all work is completed, documented, and closed out in line with UGL and client requirements.

Roster / Working Conditions

This position operates on a rotating roster to support continuous operations:

  • 2 weeks day shift: Monday to Friday
  • 2 weeks night shift: Sunday to Thursday

Flexibility is required to meet operational and client demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, service, and repair HVAC and chilled water systems
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective, timely solutions
  • Perform testing, commissioning, and certification of systems
  • Carry out installation works across commercial and industrial environments
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and client standards
  • Complete accurate job documentation and compliance records
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with customer expectations

About You

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and company values
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively self-manage
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands, including shift work and occasional travel
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record of safe and high-quality workmanship

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience maintaining HVAC and chilled water systems
  • Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
  • Current Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • Experience across a broad range of HVAC equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Desirable:

  • Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card
  • EWP, First Aid, and other relevant tickets
  • Strong computer literacy
