The role and benefits:
Discover a fulfilling role as a Referrals and Programme coordinator. You will be pivotal in optimising the delivery of the Wellness Support Team services. Your responsibilities encompass a range of tasks aimed at fostering a patient-centred and efficient service.
Responsibilities include the coordination and management of referrals to the Wellness Support Team alongside a team of coordinators. There is also the opportunity for training and involvement in the facilitation of one of our wellness courses such as mindfulness, youth groups, or self-management education.
A personal interest in mindfulness is desirable as the person in this role will have dedicated time supporting the administrative aspects of our mindfulness course.

Tāmaki Health’s “Wellness Support Team (WST)” was established in 2012 and is led by pioneering primary mental health psychiatrist Dr David Codyre. The WST won the best mental health programme award at the 2021 New Zealand Primary Healthcare Awards. The WST provides holistic support to people (of all ages) and whānau with psycho-social, mental, physical and wellbeing needs.
The WST supports Tāmaki Health’s General Practice teams to better meet patient well-being needs via a multi-faceted programme. A mix of individual, couple, whānau, and group intervention services are offered in the community and integrated into GP clinics across the network. The diverse multidisciplinary team includes psychologists, psychotherapists, administrative roles, health coaches, health improvement practitioners (wellness advisors), mindfulness educators, group facilitators, nurse practitioners, psychiatrist, and GPs with advanced training in primary mental health.
