TITLE: Accountant II
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The accountant participates in compiling financial reporting, compliance, general ledger reconciliation, budgeting and financial analysis. This role is essential for maintaining financial health and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting preferred
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and identify trends
• Proficient in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Outstanding attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial records and reports
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and deliver high quality work under tight timelines
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate nonstandard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists in the preparation of month-end/year-ed closing
• Maintains and updates journal entries and general ledger
• Reconciles bank accounts
• Monitors accounts payable/receivable to ensure accurate and timely payments
• Evaluates financial operations, identifies risks, and recommends improvements for cost reduction and profit maximization
• Assists in other functions of the accounting department such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and billing
• Collaborate with other departments in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for future financial cycles
• Utilizes accounting software
• Perform other duties as requested by management
• All other duties as assigned.
