The Clift Royal Sonesta San Francisco is seeking an engaging, polished, and service-focused Cocktail Server to join the iconic Redwood Room team. The Redwood Room is known for its historic atmosphere, elevated cocktail program, and sophisticated guest experience. We are looking for hospitality professionals who are passionate about food & beverage service, guest engagement, and creating memorable experiences in a fast-paced luxury environment.

The Cocktail Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in the Redwood Room while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and efficiency. This role plays an important part in delivering a refined and welcoming experience for hotel guests and local patrons alike.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide attentive, courteous, and professional cocktail and food service to guests
• Possess thorough knowledge of cocktail menus, wine, beer, spirits, and food offerings
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process guest payments
• Monitor guest needs and anticipate service opportunities throughout the dining experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas
• Ensure all beverages are served responsibly in accordance with California alcohol service laws
• Communicate effectively with bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, and leadership to ensure smooth operations
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
• Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times
• Follow all hotel policies, health and safety standards, and departmental procedures

Qualifications

• Previous cocktail serving or upscale food & beverage experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine service preferred
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays weighing up to 25 pounds
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol in California
• Food Handler Card and RBS Certification required or must be obtained upon hire

Hourly rate is $20.57 with tips.
