Are you looking to grow your career as a Red Seal RV Service Technician? We're looking for qualified candidates to join our Service Team. This is a Full Time, regular position for our Abbotsford, BC Dealership.

RESPONSIBILITES:

The Red Seal RV Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and providing diagnostic services with recreational vehicles (RVs). Their primary role is to ensure that RVs are in proper working condition and meet the safety and functionality requirements.

Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of RVs to identify any potential issues or areas requiring maintenance. Inspect various components, including the electrical systems, plumbing, appliances, chassis, tires, brakes, and structural integrity of the RV.

Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks based on findings during inspections or as directed by customers. The role may work on a range of systems, such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, plumbing, propane, and water systems. This includes repairing or replacing faulty components, fixing leaks, resolving electrical issues, and ensuring proper functioning of appliances.

Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root cause of the issue, including troubleshooting electrical and plumbing systems, appliances, slide-outs, leveling systems, and other specific RV features to determine the source of the problem.

System Installations and Upgrades: Installing new systems or upgrading existing ones in RVs. This could include installing solar panels, upgrading entertainment systems, or integrating smart technologies into the RV.

Appliance Repair: Repairs on various appliances, such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, water heaters, and air conditioners in the RV's Diagnose and repair these appliances, ensuring they are functioning properly and efficiently.

Customer Service: Interact with customers, listen to their concerns, and provide guidance and solutions. You may be required to explain repair procedures, advise on maintenance practices, and answer customer questions about RV systems and operations. They strive to provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure that RVs meet safety and compliance standards. Check for gas leaks, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, and proper functioning of safety systems. Ensure that the RV adheres to weight limits, tire pressure specifications, and other regulatory requirements.

Documentation and Record-Keeping: Technicians maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities performed on each RV. This includes documenting the parts used, repair procedures, and any warranties or guarantees provided. T

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest RV technologies, industry trends, and advancements. Engage in continuous learning through training programs, workshops, and industry publications to enhance their skills and knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Red Seal certification, preferred
  • 3 years in RV or automotive maintenance experience
  • Completed or near completion of RV Technician Certification, preferred
  • RV Industry Journeyman, priority preference
  • RV & Trailer repairs experience an asset
  • Experience with Plumbing, Carpentry, or Electrical (Automotive or Industrial).
  • Experience with vehicle hitch and wiring
  • General house renovation skills
  • Good attitude.
  • Ability to work Saturdays in the busy season

Compensation: $38.00 - $44.00 (with Red Seal Certification) plus benefits
